So what are your opinions on Restaurant Marrakesh?

I always mean to order one of the feasts but we're never quite hungry enough -- just exhausted from walking! We tend to order an appetizer, then order a chicken and a beef kabob plate, swap skewers so we each have 2 of each, and enjoy. We did get a dessert once but usually we're too full.

I like the Belly dancer and watching the kids with the belly dancer!

Also on my list as a must do! Love the decor, the food and the service! As someone else said how many times are you going to get Moroccan cuisine? :thumbsup2

We dine at Marrakesh for lunch every trip to WDW. It's something that all of us look forward to. The kids really like the food there. We have never had a bad meal at Marrakesh.

Hi,

I thought it was just okay. :rolleyes2
Nothing great. I can't even remember what we had. My kids DS8 and DD2 had the mac and cheese. The stage show was okay but it didn't last very long. It is a easy place to get into.

Hubby is Moroccan so we always go. Most of the time he isn't with us. I usually get the kids the couscous ( which is on the kids menu) and chicken nuggets and split them. The mint iced tea is awsome!

It is one of my favorite restaurants at WDW. The couscous is good, the beef brewat rolls are great, I love the mint iced tea, and the belly dancer is gorgeous and entertaining. It is a very pretty restaurant also.

It seems to be getting mixed reviews. You either love it or don't. I just can't decide. I know for sure we will choose LeCellier and Alfredos.

We will have the free dining and are planning the restaurants. What do you think of Restaurant Marrakesh in Epcot? Pros? Cons? Good? Bad? Worth the TS points?

Thanks guys!

It's not bad, but not great either. I found the food rather bland. We prefer Tangierine Cafe over Marakkesh. The atmosphere is very nice, as is the entertainment. If you haven't been, I would recommend giving it a try.

Hey, I grew up in Littleton! Anyway, you will find mixed reviews of each and every restaurant at WDW. I say, if the menu looks good, give it a try. I really enjoyed it (I still get a kick remembering my 11 year old son and his 81 year old grandpa watching that bellydancer ;) ). My husband didn't care for it because he didn't feel well afterwards and thought it was too bland. So even in the same family the reviews are mixed! I would definitely go back, the appetizers were really good as was the lamb. Lemon chicken tasted like school chicken, no taste whatsoever!

i'v been woundering about this restraunt as well. It really gets mixed reviews!
I always seem to hear great things about Tangierine Cafe on the boards but Marrakesh is rarely mentioned.

My family went there, and we all liked it. If you go, and like apples, make sure somebody at the table gets the crepes Atlas for dessert. It's two big crepes stuffed with apples, sprinkled with cinnamon and almonds, and served with ice cream.

I can't tell you how many times we have talked about trying this resturant but still haven't tried it. I think we'll give it a try.

Michele
