So what are you good at cooking?

I am an awesome cook, my specialty though is Clams Casino   I have to bring them wherever I go  I'd give you the recipe but then I'd have to kill ya :teeth:

I admit that I am a good cook. My specialties are homemade biscuits, scalloped potatoes with cheese, beef stew and chicken enchiladas (made with cream cheese, salsa, cumin and cheddar. They are AMAZING!)

I read the title way too fast - I thought it said "what are you good at choking?"

Uh, anyway, I make a mean spaghetti sauce...

I make a fine chicken stir fry with cashews: The chicken marinades in lemon juice, honey, soy sauce & garlic. For veggies, I'll add whatever is in the fridge (carrots, celery, green onions, pea pods, asparagus, and/or broccoli) water chestnuts, and in the end you add the cashews. YUM!

Apparently I can make mean banana crumb muffins. I've never tried them - don't like baked banana, but DH eats 5 immediately after I make them! He purposely hides bananas so they go overripe to get me to make them.

I have been told that I am a great cook!! I love to cook/bake (the only thing I don't do is grill, leave that to dh!)
Every party we go to I am asked to bake either my cheesecakes or homemade strawberry sweet buttermilk biscuit cake with chocolate covered strawberries on top... its yummy!
I also make great homemade meatballs and marinara sauce, chinesse food and lentil soup.
Now I am hungry.... popcorn::

In addition to armadillo eggs, my husband told me not to forget his famous wonton soup. He does make a mean batch. :thumbsup2

Now I'm getting hungry reading all of these replies. :teeth:

The thing that I cook that is definitely the most raved about are my homemade (from scratch) yeast rolls. MIL says I could go into business. :teeth: Now THAT's a compliment!!

I make a decent spaghetti sauce and turkey meatballs :thumbsup2 but everyone always loves my taco salad :cool1:

I love to bake but I'm not a great cook. I like the prep work but not good at throwimg something together like Dh is.

Cooking is not my specialty. Although I do make fairly good spaghetti. :teeth:

Baking is more my thing. Cakes, cookies and brownies. Just don't ask me to decorate them! ;)

I can also make some candies. Toffee clusters, turtles, mints, peppermint clusters, bon bons, etc. :)

Shepards pie and New England clam chowda (if your from MA or RI, that's the correct pronunciation LOL) are my specialties.

Yum, now I want recipes and I want to know - what in the heck are armadillo eggs?

I have to admit, I have no specialty! I have company coming next weekend and I slaved over the menu because I'm simply don't have anything that wins all the way around. I'm an okay cook, but it seems like the adults like it, or the kids like it, but never everyone.

Not to toot my own horn but I love to cook & bake and I am very good at it. My specialty I guess would be my tomatoe pie, it is a hit everytime.

I can do all comfort foods very well...pork chops, chicken and dumplings, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, homemade mac and cheese, hashbrown casserole, cornbread, biscuits and gravy, etc. I like to think that it's because I'm a true southern girl. I also make a mean loaded baked potato soup.

I have a great chicken recipe that is like the Pollo Rosa Maria from Carrabbas...it's my secret weapon!

My DH loves my Lasagna-I have to make at least 8 times a year! Now if you asked what I was good at ruining I'd say Hamburger Helper...Last 2 times I made it I had to throw it out. The first time I didn't realize the milk was bad until after I poured it into the hamburger and then the next time my 5yr. old poured clear dish liquid into the measuring cup when I wasn't looking and wasn't long before I noticed that the "spicey" smell was over powered by a much more "perfumey" aroma!!!Hamburger Helper helped ME ruin a great meal!! :rotfl:

I love to cook, but I really don't like to bake! I also do comfort food really well. Thanksgiving and Christmas are easy for me to do. I also do soups and stews really well.

Someday when I have more time, I will tackle baking. I would love to learn how to make feather light biscuits, but for now I just use bisquick!
