So... what are you doing for the long weekend?

DH and I leave early tomorrow for Colorado to visit our DS, dear DIL, and new grand baby 'Orion' :goodvibes .
I cannot wait to see them and hold our newest bundle of joy :cloud9: !! On return trip we fly to Vegas a few days followed by a trip to Grand Canyon. Looking forwrd to a wonderful getaway. :lovestruc

Wishing everyone a nice Memorial Day week-end.

My thoughts and prayers to those who paid the ultimate price for serving our wonderful country. Rest in peace dear Dad, US Army, WW11. We love and miss you. ^i^

Very low key--we're staying home this weekend. Get some yard work done, go see The DaVinci Code and possibly Over the Hedge. Clean house, do laundry, and veg. I'm looking forward to it!

Oh, and all those off to WDW--have a great time! I'm very jealous.

Ummm let's see. Friday, working. Saturday, working. Sunday, working. Monday, working. Oh wait thats right I work 7 days a week... kind of forgot there was a holiday coming up.

Ok, feeling sorry for myself is lame but its hard when everyone else is busy making plans to be with friends and family or going away and I will probably be at the airport being yelled at by some very unhappy passenger.

I think I need a vacation. :sad2:

I really do hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday weekend even if I am green with envy.

Chicago526 - Happy Birthday! Have fun...

As for my family, soccer tournament Sat & Sun.

For Mon, I don't know if I want to make plans with our best friends for a cook-out (very informal) or stick with the fact that we have no plans and do nothing (for once.)

You do need a vacation!!

Going to Atlantic City from Sunday to Monday. I got to be at the beach atleast one night every memorial day weekend.

Saturday: all day soccer tournament near Wilkes-Barre (about 2 hours from here). 4 games - 9, 11, 1 and 3. The boys will be exhausted when this is over.

Sunday: Going with family to Dorney Park.

Monday: recuperating from Saturday and Sunday. :thumbsup2

I'm starting my weekend tomorrow--taking the day off from work! :thumbsup2
I need to do some grocery shopping, and I'm also planning to go to the mall.

Saturday, my sister is having a birthday party for her 7 1/2 yr old daughter. Her birthday is Dec. 27th, so it gets lost in the hustle & bustle of the holidays. So they celebrate as a family (mom, dad, little sister, sometimes me & grandpa, because we live in NY too) & she has a party with her school friends. This weekend one of my other sisters & her family (BIL, 2 nephews & a niece) are coming. My other sister couldn't come because of a last minute work issue. My older brother & his family couldn't make it either, but it was still be fun. Hopefully, it won't rain, since it's a pool party (heated pool). It's also my dad's 81st birthday, so we'll celebrate that as well. :sunny:

Sunday, I'll probably hang out with the family again. :goodvibes

Monday, I'll sleep late, do some more shopping, and just be lazy! :smooth:

Friday-Cars Premiere at Lowe's Motor Speedway!

Nothing else planned.

Lori

Going to see Kenny Chesney and Sugarland in Hershey, PA!!!

I just can't wait. DH and I are leaving the kids w/ my sister. We are 10 rows from the stage. We are even spending the night

Tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Dh and I are leaving work and DS is leaving his High school. I am picking up DD early from her school and the entire family has been instructed to convene in the driveway. The bags are packed, the cats dishes are overflowing and the neighbor will water the new plants.

The mini van will be pointed West. We are headed to San Francisco to eat, shop, eat, sight see, bay cruise, eat, museum hop, eat, cable car rides, eat, swim in hotel pool and did I mention eat! :teeth:

You all have a safe and relaxing Holiday and for those of you headed to WDW I am sooooo jealous! ;)

Assuming the pool company actually remembers to show up to open the pool today (not looking hopeful) I'm sure we'll be spending a lot of time cleaning the pool
Tomorrow night I'm babysitting a three year old boy. He was my regular before I left for school, so I'm looking forward to it.
Saturday and Sunday more pool cleaning and probably have to spend some time with dad. Also will probably have to do some raking, since some insane hail Monday blew down a TON of leaves.
Monday my stepdad mentioned having a low key cookout with my aunt, uncle and cousins that live next door
