So uh..We spent the night IN disneyland..DREAM SUITE!

I'm so glad for you!!! What an awesome treat to win at Disneyland. I can hardly wait for your trip report. :)

Congratulations!!

I wonder if anyone got pics of the Dream family on the bus. That would have been so cool to see, too. :teeth:

Ok I won't lie, I am insanely, ridiculously, jealous!!!!! ;) I can't win a stupid pair of dream ears, after a trip to WDW and a bunch of DLR trips (I should be happy with the trips shouldn't I hehehe). Seriously I need to rub a little of that luck off you :rotfl: Or bug you a bunch to hurry up and tell us all about everything since I am living vicariously through you and your family :)

Seriously congrats!!!!!:cheer2: I am so happy to see all the disboard members win so we can share in the fun with you.

Good gravy, how cool is that?

And here I thought we were so special b/c we got to be the Big Kahuna family of the day at PPH. (and upgraded to a suite for both nights from an AP7 rate room, which I thought was most excellent, but gol, not the dream suite!)

Congrats!

Oh and Sherry LOL I must have mind powers ;)

Ya I'm gonna have a problem explaining that every time we go to disneyland we don't get to ride in the parade car with the Mayor (who is an absolute DOLL) or sleep IN disneyland. LOL

Well, you started with just a trip to DLR - your kids' first time - and THAT would have been magical enough. THEN, I was thinking that the whole DLR trip would be so much MORE magical because of the holiday atmospere - it really is enchanting! So your kids would be super excited about that, I assume. And then, to top it all off, you get the Dream Suite!! I wonder if your kids will see DLR a little differently if you just happen to go there in the middle of May or something, when it has no pretty holday decorations or Dream Suite!

Yep, you must have been sending me some sort of mental signal, because you had literally just crossed my mind and I was wondering when we would hear from you with the rundown. So, imagine my surprise when I logged on and saw the Dream Suite post!! Anyway, I can't wait to hear the full rundown of the whole trip - even just a nutshell version for now. I want to know how your kids reacted when they first SAW Disneyland, or interacted with characters (were they nervous or did they love the characters?), or ate at Rainforest Cafe, etc. I want the scoop!!:santa: :yay:

Also, did DLR put a Christmas tree in the Dream Suite? If I recall, they give people a free meal or dessert buffet in addition to the Dream Suite, so that would be extra cool, but I wondered if they put one of those cute little Christmas trees in the Suite - it seems like it would be fitting for such a nice place to stay!

Awesome, congrats! We were there that night watching the parade and wondered who all those people following behind in the bus were. Now we know :) Looking forward to the report.

Wow, this is so great to hear, someone from DIS winning.

When I checked into DL Hotel in October, I was upgraded to a huge suite facing DD and the parks. I was in shock, and said, "I feel like I have been dreamed!" But, it was not the Dream Suite of course.

(I was still amazed though, I just asked if we had a view of the fireworks, and the CM said no, and I said, "oh, ok". I had my son there with me in his wheelchair, and she just said, let me see if this other room has been released, and boom, I got the suite. 2 bathtrooms! And we were staying on DVC points...... and it was the Miley Cyrus party weekend)

Its so funny i was thinking about you the other day cause i call my emily emmers and i was like where did i get that from :confused3 then i relized it was your name lol....

Anyways lol.... i sure hope my emmers is as lucky as you are one day!!! I bet the rest for your family must have been SUPER jealouse... i sure there was alot of "Why didn't u go on first... or why didn't you go on that ride" :rotfl: Well congrats i can't wait to hear your trip report and hear all about the WHOLE trip!!!!!!!!!!!

I think someone should make a giant green mickey head and find somewhere to store it and if someone from dis gets to rid on the bus again or stay in the dream suite it can be hung somewhere so we all know its a diser "Living the dream :wizard: :lovestruc "

haha Sherry you're right..it really was magical. We had so many 'magical instances'..too many to remember all at once. But one of my favorites was walking off IASW right into the snow. Very amazing. No tree in the dream suite tho! That would've been cool.

LOL Ashley, that's hilarious. Even more funny, i never go by Emmers IRL hahaha.

I suppose I can't really be too jealous seeing as I actually WON the whole trip I was on, and we sort of got dreamed in a small way thanks to one of the Fastpass photographers who saw us taking pictures of "Flat Becky" my seven year old who had to stay behind in NZ as the trip was only for two adults :D

The trip was five nights in LA , flights , accomodation, spending money YEAH, tons of makeup ( the prize was from Covergirl )
I added on the three nights in Anaheim myself as there was no way I was going to be that close to Disneyland and NOT go, especially at Christmas time :)

13 hours on a plane back to NZ not so much fun, getting stopped at customs and searched because I had so much candy in my bags, priceless :rotfl: :rotfl:

It just couldn't have happened to a sweeter family!

Em,
What was Your favorite moment?

Wingles LOL We had to have a bag search because Disney gave us a gorgeous Crystal bowl with our name engraved and stuff..it looked suspicious or something. ROFL

Thanks Fairybaby :)

Hmm favorite moment...there are three main ones.

I'd say..honestly this is silly but..my BIL who is the BIGGEST disney geek ever..He came up after everything to get a few more items..then he sheepishly asked if he could be there for me to do a 'goodnight kiss' so he could see what it did. I couldn't NOT let him. And then he totally geeked out at the chocolate..so I made him take one. If I had to hand the night over to someone it would've been his family. Seeing the magic in someone else's eyes..someone who didn't even get to stay..priceless.

Sitting in the dark in the courtyard watching the fireflies and listening to pirates oboe...also priceless. And amazing.

and Watching Sophia wave with both hands to the crowd. totally adorable.

The lead in the crystal always goes off with security check:goodvibes

How special is that! I bet it was just like one wonderful thing after another.
