Ok, so I just got finished making ADR's and am beyond excited, but it's not even my trip! Just had to come here and share because I know y'all will understand. I'm a nurse, and the CNA I work with every night is planning a once in a lifetime kind of trip for her kids. She's a single mom, and on a CNA's salary, Disney is kind of an out of reach dream. She's been saving for quite a while to be able to do this, and when she asked me for help trip planning, I was thrilled to put my 26 years of Disney experience to good use :) So, I guess the main reason for this post is just to see if there's something I didn't think about, or if there's anything y'all (my fellow disers) would've done differently ADR wise. I basically wanted to give her kids the most magical trip possible while still letting them experience a little bit of everything. They will be there for 7 nights June 5-12 at ASMo (kids request). 7day, no hopper, water park and more tickets and regular dining plan. She wanted to use most of her TS credits for dinner, so that's how I've planned. Her kids are 7 (boy) and 4 (princess obsessed girl).

6/5 - MK - Crystal Palace dinner (This was made with the assumption they'd want to spend their first night at MK)

6/6 - Epcot - Princess Storybook Dinner - (Thought her daughter wouldn't be able to wait any longer for princesses :))

6/7 - Water park day. Probaby TL. - Dinner at Chef Mickey's (booked because no child's Disney trip would be complete without CM - I did warn her about the noise and that the food isn't the greatest she'll ever have)

6/8 - AK - Dinner at Yak and Yeti - (Wanted to have dinner somewhere in the park, and the kids love Chinese)

6/9 - HS - Dinner at Sci Fi - (a concession prize to her son for going to her daughter's princess dinner :rotfl:)

6/10 - 2nd water park day. Probably BB. - Breakfast at 'Ohana (the kids love Stitch, and we booked this so they'll be able to stay at the water park until close and then straight to bed to crash ;))

6/11 - Last day, back to MK one last time. Dinner at Whispering Canyon. (This is the ADR I had to most trouble with. They're already going to CP their first night, and none of the other TS options in MK were appealing. No park hoppers, so that left resorts. Trying to stay close to MK, she didn't want to do 1900 PF because she didn't think her son would like another Princess meal, also buffets are kind of hard alone with two kids. She didn't think pineapple races at 'Ohana were a good idea for her ADHD son and they're already going there for breakfast, already booked Chef Mickey's, so that left WCC. I know there are mixed reviews, but I thought it might be fun for the kids.)

So...that's it, let me know what you think! I just want to make sure these kids have a MAGICAL trip:wizard:

Looks good, the only suggestion I might make would be Chef Mickeys for dinner the last night and do Cape May or Boma on 6/7 on the night where Chef Mickeys was.

you did an amazing job and you are a good friend to help her out..

I love all the selections you did....and for the kiddos they will love chef mickeys...our gs is ADHD and he did wonderful in Disney..

Everything looks really good....good for you for helping a friend out :goodvibes. The only suggestion I would have would be that instead of Akershus for dinner, why not do it for breakfast and try for a time that is before the park opens. They can get some amazing pictures of the kids around WS, as they are heading back to the restaurant, without lots of people in the park.

Great selections. Isn't is nice to be able to help someone else plan a special Disney trip? I did the same for a friend of the family a couple years age, and I guess they're hooked now because her oldest DD did the college program last fall and the rest of the family took two trips down to visit her!

The only thing I might change is the WCC night, as a previous poster suggested CM would fit nicely there. Then for the evening you currently have CM planned you could suggest the ultimate in "consolation prize" for the son who has to tolerate princesses - Disney Quest and dinner at Planet Hollywood. When my son was 7 those were two of his favorite places in all of WDW!
