Day 5: Magic Kingdom Day & Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party
We got to the Magic Kingdom shortly after opening and quickly decided on a game plan. I wanted to grab fastpasses for Space Mountain and Chris wanted to grab soft pretzels. We did both, and then decided to hop onto the People Mover, since that was a new attraction for me. Oh my goodness, my mind was absolutely blown away from the People Mover! I had no clue that the ride traveled through other Tomorrowland attractions. I kept talking about it all day and made sure to look for it when we went on Space Mountain later.
My first time on the People Mover!
Our fastpasses had a return time that was still a couple hours off, so we ventured off to Fantasyland next to ride the new Dumbo! It was simply gorgeous!

After Dumbo, we decided to head back down Main Street USA for our lunch reservation at Tony's Town Square. The cast member that seated us was so cute--She had laid out a ribbon in the shape of a heart on our table. I thought it was such a sweet gesture.

I ordered the
Baked Ziti with ground beef, ricotta, mozzarella, and marinara sauce. This was a real change for me, because I haven't willingly ordered a dish with red sauce since I was about 13 years old. (Yes, including pizza
I just wasn't a fan!) But recently I've been eating it again. Perhaps my tastebuds have changed. Anyways, this was a pretty good dish
Standard Italian food.

Chris ordered the
Spaghetti with meatballs and marinara sauce. He said it was good. The meatballs looked phenomenal. The portion was quite large!

For dessert I ordered the
Tiramisu and Chris had the
Cheesecake. Both were interesting renditions of the dish, but good nonetheless.
The Lady and the Tramp theme was really cute
After lunch, we went on more rides. I honestly can't recall what order we went in, but we made sure to hit up: Space Mountain, Teacups, Hall of Presidents (first time!), Treehouse, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, Snow White (for the last time

), PhillarMagic, Tiki Room
and then the sky decided to open up and POUR. We went on Jungle Cruise during the midday rainstorm, which made it feel more authentic! Then we shlepped over to Country Bears Jamboree (mainly to take shelter from the rain, but I had never done it before, either
Never again).
Soaked through
Kinda nice to cool off, though
Luckily, the rain had stopped soon after. We went outside and shared a turkey leg. Then we did a few more rides and by that time it was time to head over to the Tomorrowland Terrace for our dessert party! We were admitted into the terrace with a wristband and escorted to a table.

It felt really good not having to fight for a good spot to watch the show out near the hub. (Or take pictures and hold poses like our wedding night!) We then went up to the dessert buffet for round one.
We tried a little bit of everything
There was creme brulee, brownie bites, cannolis, mango shooters, chocolate truffles, pudding, rice krispie treats, etc. It was all really, really yummy! We watched The Magic, The Memories, and You, and then went back to the buffet for round two.

Then it was finally time for Wishes! We went over to the railings and watched the show. Even though there were about 40 other people around us, the show felt really intimate.

WISHES
The show ended and we shuffled back into Fantasyland to ride on our final ride of the night, Peter Pan. Chris
really wanted to go on Pirates again, but I told him how I wanted Peter Pan to be our "kiss goodnight". We don't know the next time we'll be back at Disney World, so this was perfect for me. After a fabulous ride over Neverland, we scurried out of the park as fast as possible. The bus ride back seemed longer than usual, probably because we were beat. As soon as we got back to our room we conked out again.
