Grrrrrrrrrrreetings, sports fans, it's your friendly neighborhood anotherboardnposter.
I hope the New Year is treating everybody well. I'm sorry I haven't been on lately...I've been busy. Anyway, this is my topic:
Have you ever heard a song and wondered what song it was, only to find your answer in an unusual place?
Example: For years, I visited Cranium Command (R.I.P) at Epcot Center's Wonders Of Life pavilion (double R.I.P). Anyway, there's a scene where the boy whose brain Buzzy is piloting is playing still images of a girl he's gotten a crush on. I've been entranced by the music playing in that scene, but I never knew the song. Until...
I was up a few nights ago watching Starz! Family. They were airing the TV movie "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes", based on the autobiography of perpetual favorite Mouseketeer Annette Funicello. Anyway, in one scene, an actor playing a young Frankie Avalon was lip-synching to one of Avalon's big hits. There it was...I recognized it. It was the song from "Cranium Command". The song was "Venus".
Well, that's my story...
Anybody else got one?
Sincerely,
John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff
