so tempted to get FP for wishes, should I?

We did the Wishes FP this past week, and I would not hesitate to do it again. Our view was outstanding, and it was a pleasure to be detached from the crowds. We arrived in the FP area right after the parade ended, and there were about 60 or so people standing near the front.
A CM did ask us to stand just prior to the show, but there was so much empty space many people just sat down, and nothing was said. We were on the Casey's side, and we were able to exit the park rather quickly through the Main St. stores following Wishes. This was definitely one of our better Wishes expieriences.

I would say definitely yes! I did not think we would care about having one, but we were at the park Tuesday, April 22nd and used our 3 fastpass by 3:30. We were going to Ohana for dinner and coming back later for Wishes, so I just stopped by the kiosk on the way out of the park in Town Hall. No line at all, and to my surprise a Wishes fastpass was available for our family of 4. I have to say it was a very pleasant way to watch the castle projection show and see Wishes. The following night we wanted to see if we could get one again, so I kept checking my touring plans line app and it was saying they were available all the way up until 8:30 that night. Unfortunately we had a 9:00pm Mine Train fastpass and by the time we got to the kiosk at 9:10 they were no longer available. We don't really enjoy crowds so we tried watching them from Fantasyland at the bridge to the Beasts castle. It was pretty good- different. You had the fireworks going off both behind cinderellas castle and the beasts castle so you were surrounded. It was pretty loud though and you never knew which way to look. Glad we tried it, but can't beat the view from in front of the castle!

When you say you have to stand--was it to see the castle projections or was it because it was difficult to see the fireworks?

Sounds like you were towards the back of the reserved area next to the wall/fence. Did you like that general position or did you find yourself wishing you had been more towards the front?

We have FP for May. TIA!

We definitely had to stand during Celebrate the Magic projection show. The fireworks above were easy to see. But the white fountain type fireworks that are lower to the ground we had to stand to see the full effect. If that makes sense. After the show started, sitting down on the very back of the grass it was really hard to see anything below the top 1/3 of the castle because people are standing in front of you. I did find myself wishing I was in front of the topiary, but I don't know if that would have been better because that's where everyone else was standing scrunched together, with kids on their shoulders. I would like to try being right next to the front fence, but I'm not sure that would work out either.

Overall though, I would say I liked our general position.
