SO, I am doing good on watching my weight/eatig healthy. Although, I am not offical strictly following Atkins, it is my primary reference, the carbs is what I am concerned with. I read labels and decide from there. I do like fruit and I haven;t had any becuase I am not sure where they stand with the carbs. Anyone have any info on this? maybe a website that list the nutriential facts about friuts.

Lisa's list matches what I got from a diabetic handbook. Bummer huh? I've added a yellow or orange pepper to my lunches. I really like fruit while I'm dieting! A co-worker brought back fresh grapefruit from FL, and I'm resisting them. I'm not willing to waste 2 carbs (for my diet, 15g = 1 carb) for a grapefruit, but it does seem weird that grapefruit isn't good on a diet!
 
I try & stick to berries and cantaloupe. I read that a slice of canteloupe has more potassium than either a potato or a banana! :teeth:

And, FYI, for those who are wondering - eating fruit (like grapefruit) will not make you gain weight, but it will keep you from losing. Your body will be so busy burning off the sugar from the fruit, that it won't have time to get to your fat!

But, eating a piece of fruit here and there is good for you. Once in awhile, I'll have 1/2 apple with s.f. peanut butter for a snack!

I love Apples and peanut butter I have them as lunch all the time.

I'm not on Atkins - following WeightWatchers. We're incouraged to eat fruit. What I've noticed is that when I eat lots of bread (I love bead) is when I gain but when I stick to my apple a day(morning snack) and sometimes one in the evening I still continue to loose. The moral of my story is Fruit good bread bad:( Don't know much about Atkins but wanted to add my two cents on fruits.
