OP - this was my thought exactly when they told me by babies were breech. I am definitely not a medical professional, but know that c-sections carry risks that all surgeries carry. So, I was willing to try the version to get the babies to turn. I say babies because I actually have had 3 successful versions! (Those babies just liked being head up!)Two of them were actually planned about one week before my due date, the other was a surprise - we went in to be induced at 41 weeks and they discovered she had flipped!
Anyway, for me, the actual procedure wasn't really "painful", but involved a lot of pressure. I guess by the third I was so used to the procedure, it didn't really bother me at all. I remember the hardest part was laying for that long on my back. I think with the first, I got lightheaded and they gave me an oxygen mask and let me turn on my side for a while, then they went ahead a completed the procedure. They monitor the baby very closely and I'm sure were prepared for an emergency delivery had anything gone wrong. I just wanted to give you a little reassurance that the procedure can work. Good luck to you! Please let us know what happens.

Thanks for the encouragement. I know the success rate is low but its nice to hear of it working for someone.
They did let me know that they will keep me for a few hours after to monitor the baby and myself for any problems. We're going to the hospital with our stuff just in case we end up having the baby tomorrow.
Like I said they don't deliver breech and I wouldn't want to try. Too many possible complications. So if the version doesn't work then c-section it will be. And the only reason they would do it tomorrow is if there were complications or I went into labor. Otherwise they won't do it until I'm 39 weeks. But like I said I don't think I'll make it another week and a half and neither did my OB.
