To bring this up, but I have to agree with the 'below' post and just add that no one and I mean NO ONE knows what goes behind closed doors, or in this case, in a business...so please stop speculating. I have enjoyed the podcast team for many years (check my start date) and love them all. They bring me enjoyment every week and I know that's not always easy.

Dh have are own business in continuing education and believe me, no one understands the day to day decisions that have to be made.

Podcast team, thank you for all the hard work you put into entertaining and informing all of us on all things. I appreciate and love it. Here's what I was agreeing with (the part about giving Shaun a thank you and farewell):

I don't think that Shaun would have asked people to look for a job for him on fb if he had another job lined up. And while I do respect your opinion. I'll stand behind that an employer should give a thank and a goodbye publicly when you have a public platform. Such as the show. In my eyes that's the professional and courteous thing to do. That was my intention of starting this thread. To give Shaun the thank you and farewell that he deserved but never got.

Same could be said for Walter. My family appreciated his contributions to the show. He was a part of so many ABD trips, etc. We were given access to Pete and Walter's relationship in countless discussions. We sent cards, gifts, and contributions in celebration of their wedding. Then poof...a short mention that he would no longer be on the show. Very sad...not very spooktacular. ;).

Guess that is the problem when you employ friends or partners in a business. I hope this puts others on the podcast on notice.

Walter was great, except when he would read things.
Ooh man, I defy you to keep your attention focused whenever he started reading something off of a page. He suddenly turned into a monotone, slow, droning bot with no inflection. But as soon as his head moved up from the page, he'd come back to normal. :D

I don't post that often, and sometimes have a hard time trying to follow posts. But last spring while recovering from by-pass surgery I watched the archived podcasts and now watch live shows on a weekly basis. I love watching Pete and his rants along with the love he has for his mother. But Shaun was the guy who came across as a friend telling you a story and it was believable. His passion and knowledge made me want to be in Disney that moment. I know I will miss him and I wish him the best.
