All the pieces fell into place and DS5 and I (possible DH) are heading to WDW in 17 days!!!!!
It all started Tuesday night when I saw that our favorite Billy Joel Tribute band is playing at Epcot June 18th-23rd. Up here on Long Island Billy Joel and anything Billy Joel related is a pretty big deal. Well I felt this overwhelming urge to go down there and support them.
So I looked at my work schedule (I am an RN who works 2-3 days/week). Darn it!!! There was this pesky one day messing up my plan. So I mulled it over. Turns out I had to try to get that day off anyway due to a change in my husband's work schedule. So my wheels started turning. I look to see how many nurses are working that night and it looks they can survive without me. Now I just have to ask my manager 
(who is also DVC and understands me).
So Weds night she and I are both working. I am trying to time my request for the right time. No sooner do we sit down to eat that she starts complaining how her friend messed up her points by transferring 74 pts into her account that are going to expire and she can't bank them.
My response??? "Well I may be able to help you if you can help me" . I said that if she could give me this one day off I would buy 64pts from her (enough for 4 nights in a studio at SSR- the ony resort available). She looks at me, rolls her eyes and says "Are you crazy?" CRAP! My plans are thwarted. About 30 secs later I think she realized that this would solve her problem and she says "Well, I think I can arrange that." 
So we go on the computer and see that the 4 SSR nights that were available 24 hours ago are no longer. Only the first 3 nights were available. So the plan was to book the first 3 on points then make a cash reservation for the last and waitlist. So she calls today to make the reservation and is able to get ALL 4 NIGHTS!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!!!!!.
I just ordered my UT 6 day PH which I will upgrade to a DVC discounted AP after going through the turnstiles (Can you tell I've been on these boards for a bit). We are going back to WDW in Oct and Dec so this is a great deal!
Now I just have to see if DH can get off and book some flights that hopefully aren't too expensive. Should I do a TR??? I did one for our big family vacation in Jan. I think I can handle 3 days!
