I left work today at lunchtime to go to DS's school for the Family Harvest Luncheon Feast! (Family lunch--T'Giving style)
DS is in the Kindergarten class, so they prepared a song to sing for all the parents, grandparents, etc.
The 10 days of Thanksgiving (I was unaware there were days of Thanksgiving lol,). Sung to the tune of 12 Days of Christmas.
Here are what was brought
A Pumpkin from a pumpkin patch
2 Turkey Gobblers
3 Ears of corn (picture 16 5 year olds, tugging their ears)
4 Cornucopias
5 5 Bows and Arrows (picture the same 16, pantomiming using their bows and arrows)
6 Pairs of Moccasins
7 Native Teepees
They actually stopped at 7, because they ran out of time to learn days 8-10. It was just the cutest thing. The 'Native Americans' were dressed in vests made from brown paper shopping bags, and the 'Pilgrims' had Boy hats or Girl hats.
Well worth it, all of us parents were doing our best not to LOL because they were so funny!
