So sad....

OK. If you want to book late.... you can't be picky. Seriously I book late. I am willing to stay wherever....

Otherwise you are right, you have to plan ahead!

That said. Last week I booked for the week after 4th of July and got my SECOND choice. (1st was studio at BWV, 2nd was 1 bedroom and I got that)

I just got back last week and, yes, it *IS* one of the busiest spring breaks ever. I have always gone down for break and this was nutso. I really think it was due to the 4 + 3 promo.

I have noticed here (our city) that our restaurants are full, movies are busy, we are self employed... we were a little slow during the winter, but we always are. Things are booming again for us right now. I don't see where it was as bad as we were told it was. Our stores seem to be busy. I am not surprised that people are taking vacations. I sure hope they do. I think some people and Industries are having it hard, but certainly not all. I know some families that are having problems with their house payments, but the Majority are not. The Fear Factor is leaving. Or in the circle I move in.

I agree. I tried to go to our local Walmart on Saturday and encountered a traffic jam unlike any I had ever seen...even during Christmas time. We regularly run into 1 hour waits at most of our local restaurants (Outback, Longhorn, Olive Garden, etc.). Movies are frequently sold out on the weekends. We now go at noon to buy tickets for the 4:00 pm shows (we like the matinees).

I called to book a WDW stay at the 7 month window (for October) and got my 3rd choice of resort. Usually I can get better...but I am NOT complaining at all. Later that same day, Disers were posting that there was NO availability.

I know there are lots of people in trouble out there due to the economy, but I am hoping that we may be seeing signs of an upswing!
