So Sad - Had to cancel our Thanksgiving Trip

I'm so sad. I had to cancel our Thanksgiving trip to WDW and Universal. I was the only one in my family that really wanted to go and I just couldn't justify spending all the money it would cost when we need to spend that money on other stuff. It's no fun trying to act like a responsible adult!

I feel your pain. Don't let it get you too down; there will be brighter days ahead. At least you're doing the financially responsible thing. Disney will still be there when you're ready and able to go. Hopefully sooner than you think!

I am so sorry you had to cancel...Just start saving small and build up to make the NEXT trip that much more special. I canceled a trip just over a year ago and never thought I'd get 2 trips this year. :::good vibes:::

So sorry you had to cancel your trip! Next time you feel you have to cancel, there are many of us here on the DIS boards that would tag along with you! My DH is not a Disney fan, but my kids like it so I am taking them alone next year in October for the MNSSHP. Like everyone else said, save a little at a time and look forward to another trip in the future!

Hi, long time, no see. Sorry you had to cancel your trip. I am so glad my husband loves trips to WDW. It'd be hard for me to not go to WDW as often as I want. But, maybe you can go solo, or talk your fam into it some other time. Good luck!

I know how you're feeling. We had to cancel our trip last December, because we were in the same situation. We just couldn't justify the trip at that time. Things will get better. You're doing the right thing! I agree with the other posters who've said that WDW will always be right there for you in the future! Try to do something small to reward yourself for making the right choice!

WDW isn't everyone's dream vacation. Kudos to you for being unselfish enough to realize that it wasn't what was right for everyone, no matter how badly you wanted to go. Perhaps you can plan a future trip either solo or with a like minded pal?
