I am so proud of my eldest DS who despite not feeling very well is at a gala this weekend at Pond Forge Sheffield, and broke a County record that has stood for 14 years (since he was 3 years old), I am so pleased for him and he was only .77 of a second of the British/english 17yr olds record.

Well done on his achievement, .77 of a second off the other record must be so frustrating, if he was feeling 100% he probably would have broken it. Hows the olympic training going?

Amazing - well done to your DS :thumbsup2

You must be so proud!

That's so weird that you posted - I was just thinking a few days ago we hadn't heard from you for a while regarding your son. So pleased he's still doing well :thumbsup2

thanks everyone - Daniel is really pleased although a bit dissappointed that some of his other swims this weekend were not as good, but hey you can't do everything. We now have about 8 weeks hard training until Nationals at the end of July, with 10 events and 2 relays it will be a buisy time, so we need to prepare correctly. Lots of good food, early nights and hard training!!!! this is a 17yr old we are talking about so that means burgers, 4 am and 'do I have to train today' - no really he knows what he has to do and we just need to get focussed and he will do his best.

I used to go on holiday with a family from Leicester who were really into swimming. The mother was a swimming coach for the local Leicester club (Penguins I think?) and the son was a really good swimmer. I think he went on to be an England coach - his name is Paul Bush.
