Im so proud:goodvibes as I have managed to convert my friend to Disney:wizard: I helped her with flights and transfers and gave a little note book full of tips and she came back on saturday night shouting how wonderful it all was and she,d have to go back and how it was better than her 2 weeks in majorca(if you knew her belive me this was a shock) and that you cant explain how great it was unless you,ve been. So I have a total convert to our great religion of Disney and I want you all to spread the good word to others (or should we keep it a secret to ourselves:rotfl: )

Yay!! Well done!!

SO many people just roll their eyes when you talk about disneyland that it makes me mad!

One of my friends even said....

wait for it.....

"Is it like Butlins?!?!?!"

Do you think you could convert some of my friends too? They can't understand why I would want to go to DLRP and one of them said that she didn't think her children were 'into Disney' - they are aged 8, 6 and 3!!!

God no im sure those children would truly hate it and you would have to drag them kicking and srceaming around the park:lmao:

haha..oh my god! what children in the world wouldnt be "into disney" thats crazy.

On this subject I was at tesco last week and two shelve stockers were taking the mic out of people that love disney..laughing about those "awful familes who are walking around wearing tops with tinkerbell on etc" the things they said were sooo rude!!! I felt quite mad! They were in their 40's, and I just thought..... DIsney portrays an old fashioned magic, that anyone with imagination and that will to feel and think like a child will enjoy and love. To believe in "make believe" again and to be open to expressing joy and laughter, being childish and having fun... what else is there to create happiness in our lives.
Shame some people are so negative.... they probebly never even smile unless it's being unkind to someone!

i'll get off my soap box now...haha

Oh well, if they can't appretiate it, shorter queues for us! :goodvibes

I can't understand people who are so snide about Disney. I think anything that can make you remember what it's like to be a kid again is a good thing. I think Disney fans tend to be people who want to wear their hearts on their sleeves and embrace life - some people feel uncomfortable with that.
Sorry, now I'm on my soapbox too!;)

Haha, that made me think of the lyrics from 'Ever ever after'

"start a new fashion, wear your heart on your sleeve"

I love walt disney and the lovely childhood memories and fun he created! He's put a lot of good into a world that can be bad, and that's a wonderful thing to be part of and appreciate.

Soppy I know, but my whole life from 3-10 was disney!!

I'm with you on that.:thumbsup2 and you just proved my heart-on-your-sleeve assertion! :rotfl:

Great when someone appreciates the help and advice and the plan comes together :thumbsup2

thats great i wish i could convert my mom she is so cynical of our trip and has even said she doesnt get why people go without kids. i cant wait to go im at the stage where they are ready to gag me if i mention disney again. i even have my 20 month daughter all riled up to go so we can enjoy even if anyone else doesnt

i totally agree i dont understand people hat dont even give it a chance you dont even have to enjoy disney films etc itself there is so much more at the parks and i have been totally been brought up on disney but im a little bias but i hate when people say to me the whole disney thing doesnt appeal to me grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

Well done Lynnette!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My mother-in-law made me laugh when we booked our Christmas trip to WDW for next year. She said she supposed it would be the last time we'd be going to Disney seeing as our DDs are growing up. Errrr yes .......... it may be the last time we go as a complete family ~ it certainly won't be the last time DH and I go!

Personally I always think people who make fun of us Disney addicts are jealous. ;)
