Taking pool hopping from DVC members won't prevent the freeloaders (non-dvc) who hop from hopping. As members, we are the only guests staying onsite permitted to hop to any pool. Many others hop as we all have witnessed.
What should really be done first, before taking away our priveledge, is to stop all who are hopping that are not allowed then determine if our hopping has that great an influence on pool capacity. Vero has the right idea, gated room key access and ID checks at the food counter/bar. At some point Disney will have to monitor their pools and, a pool hopping phone # with a recording for members is a good idea...spruce

I agree with you on this... How many times have you sat around a Disney pool & overheard someone that should not have been there! I've had this happen quite a few times.... Personally, there are so few of us, in the overall scheme of things (What is Disney up to? 27,000 rooms onsite?), that we do not add an enormous load to their pools capacity...

I think they should ID guests all day at the pool coming & going & those already settled. I bet that would get rid alot of unauthorized pool hoppers & locals who don't even belong. I wouldn't object although it may be a pain in the neck & then DVCers can maintain their right to pool hop.
