This show rocked (even though it started two hours late). Did anyone else make it to the show at the sad home of the Washington Redskins?

Personal favorites: Let it Be, Get Back, Lady Madonna, Eleanor Rigby, Jet, Something, Paperback Writer, Band on the Run, Hey Jude, I've Got a Feeling, I Saw Her Standing There. . .

. . . however, they were all great. Helter Skelter was something of a surprise.

Awesome to hear. Thanks for sharing. We leave Tuesday to head up to Boston to see him at Fenway. Going all the way from Texas for DD's birthday. Looking forward to an amazing trip. :thumbsup2

Thank youfor sharing!

I've seen Paul in concert twice, and he was just WONDERFUL.

You'd think that with his status, he'd get away with just being there and not doing much. I love how he gives EVERYTHING he has in his shows. You can tell how much he still loves to perform.

I hope I get to see him live even one more time....

Great news, thanks! Heading to Fenway Park on Thursday night to see him and can hardly wait:cool1::cool1:

I think the forecast is even "dry" which is somewhat of a miracle this summer.

Why did the concert start two hours late? Just curious as we'll be riding in from Braintree (from the Cape) on the T and know that the last train is at midnight. Learned this the hard way at an Aerosmith concert and got stuck in Boston without a ride home:rotfl:

I think the concert started late for two reasons: (i) the traffic around DC was particularly bad that night so they held off for a bit to try to get more people in the stadium, and (ii) I found out today that there was a previously unannounced "opening act." It turns out that the two guys standing on stage looking at a computer screen were DJs of some sort called "Thievery Corporation." They looked out at the crowd for an hour or so while the same song played over the loudspeakers.

I jest... a little. They were different songs but they all kind of sounded the same to me. I think that the music was wasted on that crowd. Nobody seemed to appreciate it. It was also irritating since the opening act was unannounced beforehand, so nobody really knew what was going on. We just thought we were being subjected to a long wait with techno elevator music.

So lucky! we saw him last time he was in DC and he was so great! He did the same thing with the music and the computer guys, we didn't understand it either. i just figured the music was warm up music and the guys had nothing to do with it. I hope he tours again in my lifetime; i've seen him twice now and it never gets old. What i love is that my two sons love him too, one is 24 and one is 14. he's timeless, both his music AND his looks!
Helter Skelter is awesome to hear!

:worship:With a title like that, I HAD to click and see what was inside!:lmao:

Glad you enjoyed the show! I'm jealous! :)

I saw the 2nd show in NY, agree can't beat the show he put on. Also agree it wasn't 2 hr late, the presact wasn't really advertised, but he's been coming on about 9 for all his shows.

Going to 2 see 2 shows this week, Joan Jett tomorrow and Pat Benatard and Blondie on Friday, I'm just hoping they will be 1/2 as good as he was. Of course for tjem it's after hrs of seeing other people so it is somewhat different
