So nervous, I can't sit still...

.....because I finally sent in my application to nursing school. I went back to school 2 years ago at the age of 30 when my DD started kindergarten. I had been a medical assistant for 7 years and could not see myself stuck there forever. Entrance into the program is very competitive (700 applicants - 160 slots) and is based strictly on GPA. The lowest GPA accepted last semester was 3.65 and the cutoff seems to go up every semester as competition gets greater. I have applied with a 3.71 GPA. Thing is, I have to wait until April to find out and I cannot think about anything else. I try throwing myself into planning a vacation, studying for classes... nothing helps. I am shaking, I am so nervous!!! 2 years of hard work and anatomy classes to maybe not get in. Oh, thanks, I just had to vent. I feel a little better now!!

My sister is doing just about the same thing you are and same age group...1st time see applied she was turned down...almost broke her heart...but then she found out that she would have been starting during the summer program and the college didn't take as many applicants during that period. She got her nerve back up and reapplied....She was accepted starting the next Fall, she is now almost finished and is working while learning...

What I'm saying is don't let anything keep you from school even a no the first time, if it happens.

With your GPA you should be fine.
