and tells me this story:

There were a bunch of cows and bulls in a field. All the lady cows would stand on one side of the field and all the bulls would stand on the other. Now, the place where the cows lived had a lot of earthquakes, and when an earthquake would come, all the cows would fall over, but the bulls would just wobble back and forth and stay on their feet.
So one day, the cows, being very tired of falling down, went over to the bulls' side of the field and asked them why, during earthquakes, they would just rock back and forth and not fall over? The bulls answer:

"Oh. Didn't you know?? We bulls wobble, but we don't fall down." :lmao:

Cue the child, dissolving into hysterical laughter.

:lmao:

Oooh, oooh, oooh! I had that same Mickey Mouse Club set! I loved that thing. I can still remember exactly how it looked when Santa left it. Thanks for the good memories.:goodvibes I sure wish I still had mine.

OP, that joke was a great kid joke. I'll have to tell it to my 6 yr old, she will love it.:)

OH MY GOSH! That is so cool!
I used to have a bunch of those...specifically I remember the brown dog, the boy with the blue pants and white shirt, and the pink girl with the balloon. I think I had the submarine set too. I seem to remember a Pooh and a Tigger as well. I loved them!
But then my little brother learned what admirable missles they made, and OW they hurt when he would wing them at me.

OMG do I feel old! I just read that to my boys, 14 and 11, and they both went huh? What's a Weeble?

:rotfl::rotfl: OMG that's funny!

Here's one that had my kids ROFL:

What did zero say to eight?

Nice belt.

There might be a slight pause while they think about it, but then they crack up! :lmao:

LOL, OP, that's great! Kids come up with the best stuff!!!

And OMG!!! The memories are flooding back with those pics!! I had both the Mickey Mouse Club and the Treehouse sets!! Those must have been some of my favorite toys!! **SIGH** :goodvibes

Here are more pictures for that trip down memory lane.

I had the treehouse which is pictured in the link......loved my weebles tree house.

I had the treehouse too! And the camper set and the playground set! I LOVED my Weebles.

Now that I see the treehouse again, I remember it. I also distinctly remember, in the early 80's, my mom recarpeted our hallway (in some truely terrible late-70's-reject carpet) and I took a bit of the leftover carpet and carpeted my treehouse. It was so stylish. :rolleyes1

This thread put me in a nostalgic mood and I've been looking up lots of other favorite 70's toys. Anyone remember: The Sunshine Family, Baby That Away, the 70's Fisher Price Little people - I had lots of people, the school bus, the farm, the airport and 2 airplanes. I always wanted the school but never got it.

OT (OP, sorry, sorry), but I still remember seeing Sweet Cookie under the tree -- she would mix her own cake mix (but I never received an Easy Bake!).

And BARBIE! I had a Barbie doll with a patchwork skirt and moveable thumbs which would pick up a suitcase and TV set. And a really cool Carousel Kitchen and airplane. I had the townhouse, too. And my brother's GI Joe had peachfuzz for hair.

And does anyone remember Mimi? She would sing, "Let there be peace on earth" and had a little mini record player in her back (run with a rubber band).

Love it! I had the western set, too! And the Weebles haunted house with the glow in the dark Weeble ghost...loved that thing! Sigh, good times.

WOW!!! I had the haunted house, but it was one with no parts that we found at a rummage sale. You don't want me to tell you what a complete Weebles Haunted House with the super rare ghost weeble would go for on Ebay right now ....! :faint: A highly desirable collectible set!!

If only our parents knew what these toys would be worth ...! Maybe they wouldn't have been so gung-ho on throwing it all in the trash (like mine did).

I had all 3! We named the dog Dexter, the boy Danny, and the pink girl Rosy. I never had the Pooh bear ones. Many in the photo I posted were my childhood ones. :) They survived!

Same here!! I got the Mickey Mouse Weebles Clubhouse for Christmas in 1977 or 1978 at my Grandma and Grandpa's house. I was soooooo happy!! Over the years I lost many of the parts, but I been Ebaying for the missing ones. Fast forwards to today, I have the clubhouse out on dispay in the kid's room so they can play with it, just like I did. :)

The Sunshine Family was my absolute favorite toy of the 70s. That little baby was the cutest thing ever. I remember it so well...LOVED IT! Wish I still had it. :)
