So Much To Celebrate - LIFE and Sophie Kate!

Good morning! Well, I am feeling like half a human today and that is great. I feel like I have turned the corner. Yay for getting suitcases out! I know I will be doing the last minute packing thing. Since I have been off, I will be swamped with work this next 3 weeks! They started calling me yesterday and have not stopped since they know I am not deathly ill now.:rotfl: Cooper and Blake start Little League baseball practice too. We have practice and games up to the night before we go and the season starts when we get back. I am so glad we both get to go to WDW this month!!!!!:cheer2:

oh my gracious! i've been away from distown much longer than i realized! i've missed two trip reports, the start of a new one, a brand new princess, and jill's not-so-magical trip to the hospital! :scared:

well, glad to know everyone is well and happy and ready for many more trips to your happy place! loving the tr so far! getting very excited for my 2-year-old niece's first trip... (i'm sure your littlest disney veterans could give her all sorts of traveling tips and tricks)

stay warm this weekend, memom. think disney thoughts! :earboy2:

I'm here, it's time I bounce back into the DIS full force. I can't wait to get caught up on everything, I've been away too long.

Just jumping over here to wish all my fellow middle TN Disfriends a good weekend blessed with LOTS of snow! pixiedust:

Oooo goodie, you have your October trip started! :wave2: I can believe that this was certainly an emotional trip for all of you. What a blessing those three little girls are. I'm going back to get caught up now!

Well, half human is a good thing. Maybe 3/4 this weekend, and then on to the real thing! I think you can still play the 'not ready for prime time' card still, however, and hold those calls off for a few more days. ::yes:: I know you are very needed by so many, though. It's no wonder they are in a hurry to get you back!

Yay for Disney World this month!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

:) I am ready to be in my happy place again, but I just wish it was going to be with my girls.

I will stay warm, because I will be in this house all day tomorrow. There has to be one day a week to not have to get up and out the door. Tomorrow will be a stay in my jammies day, possibly.

We'll have to interview the girls and get their travel tips. :thumbsup2

No worries - Naveen's all yours! He and I will just remain good friends - can't stop being friends with someone with that sense of humour! :rotfl:

I haven't seen 'my' Naveen in a long time. I fear he has moved on to greener lily pads.

Glad you are getting DIS time! Did you see your dad's picture? I will text him soon and tell him I plan to see him on Sunday morning, the 24th.

It was spitting pretty good when I was on my way home, but it is not doing anything now. We're in the one inch range, so we will see. Too bad it couldn't have come 24 hours earlier so we could have had a snow day!

We knew we were very blessed to be making this trip. Those girls are tremendous blessings! All of us DIStown parents and grandparents are very, very blessed to have our babies - not matter how tiny or how grown they are.

This was the day Jill's friend and her family were to arrive. We caught a bus to Art of Animation.

The girls checked out some pins.

On our way to Pop.

This really is a fun place! I hope we get to stay there more often in the future mostly in the Little Mermaid section.

Oct2012Pt1326.jpg

We went to meet the Friend family as they arrived on Magical Express.
This couple had been looking forward to this trip for over a year. They were giddy with excitement!

Oct2012Pt1327.jpg

I watched the little ones while Jill and John showed Jonathon and Rebeecca how to navigate things in the food court.
The first exciting Disney thing for Mary Beth was

coloring.

Rebecca's family went to get settled in, and at that time, we had a visit from some of our favoritest little boys, Carson and Parker. As we were walking from the pool, where we met them, we saw a baby snake.

In the room. Not sure what the conversation was. With these two, you never know!

Brandy has become a big Disney fan over the past couple of years. She's hoping to get another October trip this year, but they are also thinking about moving, and she is thinking about quitting teaching, so it's very iffy.

Oct2012Pt1331.jpg

This is pretty much the norm for these boys.

Oct2012Pt1332.jpg

After a short time, it was time to take Rebecca and family to their first park.

Oct2012Pt1333.jpg

Two sweet girls!

The first park for the Friend family was Magic Kingdom.

Next up was Small World.

That's it for tonight. All of you who fell asleep during Small World can just go on and head to bed now.

More pictures tomorrow.

How did you know?
It's been a long day, Marc and Baylor went to watch the High School basketball game and the house is so quiet.....zzzzzzzz

I'm feeling a little depressed seeing all your Disney pictures.. I MISS DISNEY!! :sad1:
BUT.. just found out friends are up near DL visiting, so I talked my DH into a quick overnight trip to see them. So.. tomorrow I'll be going to DL, well, at least DTD and a trip to Earl! Our AP's are blocked on the weekend, so I can't go in, but at least I can soak in a little Disney air, and get a delicious sandwich while I'm at it! It'll hold me until we can go at the end of March during our break. :cool1: :cool1:

I'm good waiting on Small World. Have you seen the small world books for babies/toddlers? I saw them at Target. I think they were $7.99. I was very tempted to buy them, but all my kids are passed that stage. They want longer books with more meat to them. ;)

A quiet house on a Friday night is a very nice thing. :)

Guess what - we woke up to about 1/4 inch of snow on the ground this morning. I read the blog post of my other KS friend last night, and it looked like they had about a foot of the white stuff over the last week. They built up mounds and jumped in it.

I miss it, too. You may think it is crazy, but sometimes I youtube videos and just put it 'walking around Disney World' as the criteria. I just walked around DTD West side this morning, because that is somewhere I don't often go. It was a nice walk. :cool2:

You'll have to give us a few pictures of your Disney fix. Jill will want to see your Earl choices, of course!

I think it is cute how they have there hands up during it's a small world.

It's a thrill ride, you know! ;)

I have not, but you can be assured I will make a point to find them. That will be a great gift for Sophie!

20 pages late, but I'm here!

Your intro, recalling the emergency with Jill, had me all in tears. That was so frightening.

I LOVE the pic of the kids on Small World with their arms up - too stinkin' cute!

I love the pictures of the little ones playing. The pics of the boys wrestling is a normal picture to me. My little rowdy boys wrestle and run after each other all the time. We just got a dusting of snow here. The boys were happy to see any snow. Yay for 3 weeks for me today!!! I am so ready to be there.

Oh man, that is a lot of kids in one group, that must have been a lot of fun! (and no, not being sarcastic--I love how the dynamic changes when you get a lot of little kids who haven't seen each other in a while together at once--loud, but fun! I can imagine it was only doubled with the excitement of being at Disney together. :lmao:)

I love the Little Mermaid section of AoA! Really hope I get to stay there on one trip someday. Big :thumbsup2 to picking MK as their first park! They look like they had so much fun on IASW! Cannot get enough of the pictures on that ride :goodvibes

Aww, how fun that yall were able to have friend time at Disney!

SNAKE?!?! WHY?!?! :scared:

(I know, I know... it's Florida... but it's still scary!!!)
