I think you will see people cancel closer to their cancellation policy dates.

Another post on this same forum said they can’t find any availability at Christmas time, so it must depend when you are looking. Almost all the kids are back in school now so this is a historically slower period crowd wise right now.

Yes, but people who booked vacations in late Sept/early October knew when kids would be back in school. They booked and now have cancelled for some reason or another. I suspect covid numbers in Florida have something to do with it, but I have also seen people saying they would cancel now that masks are required in certain parks of the parks, people cancelling over Genie+, people cancelling because it looked like Genie+ would not be out by the time their trip began...just overall a lot of people angry and cancelling over policy things at the moment regardless of which side they're on.
