So much for staying home where I'm "needed"...

DD decided she was not going to go up to the lake this weekend in light of what happened earlier this week..

So - even though I knew her DH would stay home as well - I decided to stay home too just in case she needed "Mom" for something..

Well - she just called me on my cell phone.. Guess where they are? At the lake!! They decided at the last minute to go on up tonight and stay overnight..

If that's what she needs and wants, I'm all for it - but gee - I kind of feel like I stayed home for nothing now..

Oh well - if I could drag myself away from this computer I could probably get some stuff done..

Yeah - like that's gonna happen! LOL

What can I say? It was a sorry day for the rest of the world when I finally realized that it was okay for me to express my opinions right along with everyone else.. LOL

How far is the lake from where you live? Would you be able to go up there next weekend? Maybe your daughter needs another weekend to relax.

Oh sure - I can go up there every weekend - it's only about 65 miles from here.. Actually she suggested that I come up NOW, but it's way too late, I have a real hard time seeing to drive at night and with the cost of gas, I don't want to go up for one night and come back again tomorrow night or Monday morning..

She'll be up there next weekend too.. They have their travel trailer on the lot next to our summer place..

Next weekend I'll definitely be there - one of my best friends, who moved to Florida but spends the summers next-door to us at the lake, will be pulling in and I can't WAIT to see her!!!!!

I'm not sure why you would think that at all. I see posters posting when you inspired them and an idea for a post. And every day you post a lot of calamity you have in your life so if you went away with no computer everybody would worry for you. At least when you post posts we know you are here and ok. Awwww..that's so sweet...

I wasn't REALLY feeling unwanted, just kind of joshing around about my "opinionated" self..

I've become so addicted to the DIS - and I am SOOOO fond of so many of the folks here, I don't think I could ever leave - unless I managed to get myself banned..
