So much for getting my refrigerated medication here smoothly

I had it sent to work so I'd be able to sign for it and refrigerate it. Well, the company that sent it failed to put on my company name or the suite number so FedEx sent it back to the FedEx office about 6 blocks away. The company told me it would be redelivered today before 5...nothing yet. I have no idea if Fedex will keep it refrigerated or what. Trying to get answers from the script company. FRUSTRATING.

Do they pack it in dry ice? A friend of my brother's had some fish delivered that way.

This type of problem is precisely why I refuse to have meds needing refrigeration shipped.

Is there any way for you to call FedEx yourself?? Many times, the packaging will say "Perishable - Keep Refrigerated" . Also, if the return address label shows it is from a pharmacudical company, I would have faith that Fed Ex will do everything in their power to get that box delivered today.

I have WAY too much experience with having medication that must be refrigerated delivered! (DH was on this type of med for 3 years....all of it was sent in 3 mo supplies via mail order company). The first time out, I was paniced it would not come on time, I wouldn't be home when it did come, would they leave it without a signature..............all the feelings and worries you have now. Ours came UPS and the driver, first time out, attempted delivery in the morning (when I wasn't expecting him and was shopping!! ) He knew from the labeling it was medication and made a special trip back just to be sure I got it ok. I'm sure fed ex will do the same for you. Give them a call and explain what is in the box.

Don't worry...everything will be ok!

That sucks! (I think I may have been the one to suggest having it delivered to work) I'm sure things will get worked out, and next time it will go smoother.

Guess what?? I had to GO GET IT or else they wouldn't deliver it til today and they don't have a refrig for it..ok, not so bad...but when I got home and opened it I realized they had only SENT ONE MONTH!!!!!! We are required to order 3 mths at a time for our meds and I was CHARGED FOR 3 MONTHS! And my prescription specified 3 months. I am just livid. Waiting for Curascript to get back to me. They even had my HOME phone on the box instead of work. I had a msg. from Fedex at home trying to locate me!

patint can receive a 84 day supply of Enbrel with a $50 copay.... next refill date 07/21/04, override was put in for cost exceed maxium. Patient next delivery she can receive 84 day supply of Enbrel....

Ok, doesn't explain anything about the fact that I paid for 3 months NOW...grrrr

I was told in an email:

No it's $50 for 28 day supply of Enbrel and $50 for 84 day supply

Now HOW is that possible when I paid $25 at my local pharmacy?!
