It just seems like the TS's will be a lot of food when you think of a whole family ordering (three appetizers/three desserts). I know we can share some meals, but at the same time, those unused TS's will just end up being lost (We're not doing any signature restaurants with our young kids). So my question-

When you are at at TS meal, can you ask that they pack an appetizer and/or dessert "to go". I don't mean getting the whole meal to go, but to have some parts of the meal packed to take back to the hotel to snack on later. Can you do this without having it sit on the table and be picked at first (thus making it leftovers)?

Thanks!

Probably, but on the dining plan, when would you eat it? Tomorrow the food orgy continues. And how would you carry it and deal with it?

Some menu items wouldn't transport well, or can't be taken out of their restaurant containers (i.e. creme brulee comes in its little china dish).

Yes you can get stuff to go, but I would be afraid of the spoilage and taste issue of it later.

I've taken food to go, and as long as your heading back to hotel right after, I think it would stay pretty fresh. I was at a DVC resort so I just put it in the fridge and heated it up for lunch the next day.

i thought every place but value have fridges now? i'd take it back especially if we ate early and might want a snack later or since ( we haven't used it yet, did use vouchers last trip which are basically the same amount of food) we won't buy any other meals so it's only 2 meals a day. some fruit or pastry would be a good breakfast i think ( ever see Bill Cosby HImself???...chocolate cake has eggs milk flour what's wrong with that for breakfast ?:confused3 :) ;) )

in the real world i take dessert home occasionally cause i never can eat it all at one sitting.

I did it at R&C and at Norway. But I was staying at the BCV, close by, otherwise I'd be concerned with spoilage too. Stickey Toffee Pudding makes for an excellent breakfast, as does School Bread.
