Hey..........I am also new here. My family and I (me, my husband, son (5 mo old), sister, brother-in-law and neice (5 years) are planning a trip to DW the first week of April. This is not my first time going but it has been a really long time since my last visit...to be exact I was there 25 years ago when I was 7. My husband has never been and of course this will be my son's first visit also. As for my sister and brother-in-law...........their last visit was on their honeymoon in 1994. It was of course her second trip and his first and he loved it. As for their daughter......this will be her first trip. Ok so now that I have gotten that out of the way. Here goes...we are planning to stay Port Orleans Riverside (sorry have not conquered the abbreviations yet) and have also purchased the meal tickets. We have been informed that we need to go ahead and let them know where we plan to eat our meals before we go. I am up to any suggestions as to where to go and not to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :flower:

I can't really help you w/ restaurants as we usually have counter service so we can eat quickly and get back to the attractions. You may want to post on the restaurant forum to see if you get a faster response. Epcot appears to have some awesome restaurants but we always have Mexican since my kids are selective eaters. The restaurants in Japan and China looked good to me!
You are travelling at a peak time. Make sure you are at the parks at opening. Since you are staying on-site, take advantage of the extra magic hour in the mornings!!!! You will get several rides under your belt before 11 am or so before it starts getting really crowded. Line wait times will start to get around 50 minutes in the early afternoon and that just eats up your time! Use fast pass when you can. We just went at Christmas and had good success getting to the parks early and hitting what we thought were the most popular rides. Dumbo, peter pan(FOR SURE!), winnie the pooh, splash mtn, thunder mtn rr, buzz lightyear, space mtn. Just decide which rides are your must do's (we had 4 kids so we picked 2 each) and we did those first, then everything else was icing on the cake.
HAVE FUN!

I would do Chef Mickey's for one of your Table Service Meals. Your niece that is 5 would love it.

I tried Liberty Tree Tavern (which is in the Magic Kingdom) for dinner for the first time this year and loved it. It's traditional turkey/roast beef/mashed potatoes/mac & cheese/ type meal and it's served family style. This is also a character dinner, which means that you can kill 2 birds with one stone. Both the character interraction and the good food :)

Have a great time!

Boma's at AK is great. Also CP in MK. :wizard:
