So many gift card questions

I've read through the posts on here about this topic, and have spent too much time googling, so I am asking for your help. I'm bad with this kind of thing and do not want to waste my beloved Southwest points. I have a good amount of points saved, and would like to know how I can use them for my upcoming trip. I want to use them to get reward gift cards, and then use those gift cards to buy Disney gift cards to pay for part of my tickets. I saw online that you can use Wal Mart gift cards at Sam's Club to buy the already discounted Disney gift cards. Is this true? If not, are there any gift cards on Southwest.com that I can use to purchase Disney cards?

Also, when getting reward gift cards, how long do they take to come? Or is it like an EGift card? Any advice will help. So far my hotel has been free (attending a conference as a guest), my flights were free(southwest), and I'm still being super cheap about it. I like a good savings. :)

Thanks for your time!

Gift cards are generally a bad redemption value for airline miles and credit card points programs. You would get much more value from your SW points by using it to book airfare.

Yes, thank you. I already took advantage of that and got free flights, which is a huge savings for my kids and me. I'm just looking for other ways to save. Saving my points for future flights maybe more worthwhile at this point. Thank you!
