So many closed rides at Rope Drop!

A week from today will be our first day in thx park and I sure hope it’s better than what I am seeing on the app for today’s rope drop. At DL alone, you have BTMR, MH, Jungle Cruise, POTC, and Peter Pan all closed at RD. Yikes!
Peter Pan has a delayed opening the past 3 days at least. This means the rides aren’t getting turned over from maintenance with enough time for the attractions team to go through the motions before the ride can open to guests.

Yup. Most rides take an average of 30-40 minutes to cycle through their checks AFTER maintenance releases them. This is also why ride downtimes have been so long lately. Maintenance dispatch is delayed, and then they have to actually fix it, THEN the ride team has to test and cycle through before they can reopen.

A lot of the Peter Pan rope drop crowd seems to be going to Dumbo when the ride is down rather than Alice these days. It's kind of sad that I've actually gotten used to seeing rides closed at rope drop that I didn't even bat an eye at seeing Big Thunder and Pirates down after riding Alice at rope drop. Yesterday, Racers and Luigi's had delayed opening but I don't know what else was down at rope drop.

The silver lining of the bad maintenance for me is that some effects on Rise of the Resistance weren't working so I finally got to see Kylo Ren in his tie fighter for the first time.

Yikes! POTC is my rope drop plan for my first day on Sunday the 13th... and that's the only day we can do it because it's down starting the next day!

Certainly make POTC a priority:-). But may I suggest an alternative strategy? Do Peter Pan, Mr. Toad and Dumbo (and perhaps even Snow White) at rope drop. Then head over to POTC. The reason I suggest this is because those lines get very long very quickly. You could do all of those and even more before the POTC line even climbs to 10 minutes. Obviously do whatever will make you happiest. I merely suggest this as something that might also work well for you. Enjoy! I plan to be there on the 13th as well.

Yesterday, half of Fantasyland was closed at rope drop: Peter Pan, Storybook Land, Casey Jr, Small World and Matterhorn (under renovation). Rise of the Resistance was also always down when I checked in the app.

Storybook Land got up relatively quickly but it'll be good to know before rope drop what your plan is if Peter Pan is down. Dumbo, Alice or Snow White would be good options. I agree that POTC is more of a 2nd hour type of ride rather than a rope drop ride. It also often drops to low waits in the evening.

Matterhorn closed for refurb on Monday, so that's no surprise. I was there on Monday, but chose open attractions as my first 3, so I didn't feel this at all (lucky).
