So just how bad is the 4th of July?

Hello, newbies here(to the forum not Disneyland) we are wondering just how bad are the crowds for the week of the fourth usually? We were there the week before Christmas this last year, and also Labor day and Memorial day in previous years. Are those holidays comparable? We have not been at DL when everything is in full swing with shows, parades etc. The main reason we are going back is to hopefully get our twin daughters on Nemo. They Love Nemo to death. And we know thats probably what alot of people are going to be doing also! Thanks in advance.

Christmas and NYE are comparable with the 4th crowd-wise...

The 4th is just much warmer.
Definitely comparable with Memorial Day and Labor Day heat-wise, but more comparable with Christmas and NYE crowd-wise.


I have never found Memorial weekend or Labor Day weekend to be that bad crowd-wise.
I've always ridden a lot of rides on those weekends in the past and still had enough energy to wait for the fireworks after a long day...


Going the 4th is wonderful!


Main St is all decked out in patriotic bunting, the Flag Retreat is always very heavily attended and has live DL Band music before, during and after the ceremony ...and is even more special honoring and celebrating America on it's birthday...

And the awesome Remember... Dreams Come True fireworks lasts even longer with the added patriotic/military salutes.


The 4th of July has always been a totally great vibe at DL day for me, even with some heat and a lot of people....

If the large crowds of those other peak days didn't scare you off... have a great time at DL on US Indepenence Day.
