Have fun! I love the parks in the rain, it is a different experience and trust me would rather be at the parks in the rain than sitting here at my desk looking out at the rain.

Looks like the rain is almost gone! Last I checked it was 50mm on Saturday and another dump on Sunday. Now there's mostly sun with a few showers.

Yay!:cool1: Maybe I can leave the rain gear at home...

Ok so it just started to rain last night. It has not been too bad,it's not like a catergory 5 storm or anything, I just looked out my office window and it's not even raining right now andi am in anaheim, not even sprinkling. So I think that this so called “gaint storm” is not going to be so giant, and last night on the news I heard that it will be patchy sky's with some drizzle. I am crossing my fingers that for friday for us that live here in california it doesn't get worse—because I need my Disneyland time!! one thing is for sure, F! and fireworks will not be canceled just because of rain, if there is lightning then they will be...

Looks like its going to rain on our big family day at DL too. At first I was bummed until I came on the DIS and read about how many advantages there could be to that.

Well brookies mommy, tell you the truth at this very moment, I see some pathy blue sky, and I think the sun is trying to peak through, but even if it's a slight drizzle at DL , it;s still a fun place to be! Just the water rides won't be so fun.. :)

We don't go till next week. Looked at Weather.com and so far Thursday and Friday was rain showers all day.

I'm excited regardless! Just hope I'm not setting myself up for disappoinment.

Oh we will! The only thing that really bums me is that Friday everyone is going.. so that kinda stinks.. Will the photo pass people be out? It would be nice to get a few group shots. I will be bringing a waterproof dig camera so we will get some but I always love the photopass people. They are so fun to work with!

Another one hoping the temps go up- we are in the parks from Wed around 10:30 (our plane gets in to Long Beach at 9:30) leaving Saturday am…this is our DD6’s first trip…DH and I took a solo trip end of last January and it was lovely- sunny and temps in the low 20’s (celcius) so for us Canadians out came the shorts and summer shirts..we did have to laugh at the CM’s who had their woolly socks and big coats on…anyways I degress…we are hoping for a miracle temp increase and sunny skies :) but I'm sure we will have a great experience anyways.

We are expecting crowds with the holiday monday, but I wonder if rain would keep the crowds away :confused3

If it rained it would help with crowds. If its rainy all beofe that day and sunny that day it will be worse..

No personal experience.. but thats what I gather from the dis boards :)

This is what it says for this week...

http://www.weather.com/weather/5-day/Orange+CA+92865

ok so yesterday when i looked, it said that friday had a 70% chance, now it's down to 40%, so it changed.and ur not going till next week , that info on the rain can change...

seriously i would not worry it will still be fun!

That's why I don't like checking the weather since it can change in just a day or a few hours. I would not worry about the rain since there will be few people at the park. Yea that a lot of the rides will be closed due to the rain. But it is fun to gun to walk out there.

We're leaving today for the airport and leaving for Disney tomorrow and I have been diligently watching the weather for a weeks straight. It seriously changed every single time I checked. It changed hourly. For a while it was going to be all sunny but cool, then there were supposed to be light rain on a day or two, then downpours on two days, then just one and now its back to light rain for 2 or 3 days but mostly sun.

It changes constantly so I wouldn't get discouraged (or excited, depending on what you're hoping for ;)) until a few days before.

There are pros and cons to both I think. Rain keeps the crowds down and the lineups short and sun is more comfortable but makes for busier parks. Either way, I'm sure you'll have a great time! :woohoo:
