So in preparation for the fact that there may be long wait times for standby rides and I haven't waited in a line there that I can really remember, I have a question.

Do you find that the lines are usually moving, like at least you are shuffling along? For some reason, that makes the wait time more bearable for me. It's like traffic, as long as we are moving (even if only 15 mph on the expressway), it's better than if we are at a standstill.

Thanks!! :)

Most of the time it is moving along especially on the continuos flow rides like Peter Pan...but.. It all depends on the FP line. If it gets backed up then the standby line can sit still for a bit while they clean out the fp line..

I'm like you, if we are crawling I'm cool but then minute it comes to a halt I'm done being patient lol

thanks! Yes, as soon as I stop moving, my patience starts diminishing! Then I start moving and everything is right with the world. :rotfl:

With the interactive elements that have been provided in or added to certain queues (thinking 7DMT, BTMRR & Pooh), sometimes the line stops as people get fixated on playing with these elements, then the line will suddenly surge when they realize there is a huge gap between them and the next group of people. I understand the intent of these elements, but I don't believe they make for a smoothly, continuously flowing line.

And that is the way it always was before the introduction of the demon Fastpass system. I'd love to go back in time and have the veto power to stop that idiotic minority pleasing system. :duck:

To answer your question, it depends on the ride and the crowd. Some are like having bamboo slivers stuck under ones fingernails. If you are going there in the summer, expect delays at most of the attractions. Off season, whatever that is now, is less stressful, but, still happens.:(

I think it depends on the ride too. How fast they load & unload, how popular it is, etc. I always fine I can tolerant waiting much more if I'm in the a/c or at least a covered area with a breeze, but when it's hot without any air flowing :furious:, I don't care for that as much. :rolleyes2

Now I am not know as an overly patient person, or overly social for that matter, but I have found if I talk to the other people in line around me, it seems much better. I have met people from around the world and around the US. Generally, most will talk, even when english isn't there strong suit.

The current FP system may not be perfect, but I definitely do not want to go back to a no-FP system.

My husband and I are the same way so we just talk to each other but we people watch. We keep our comments to ourselves but have "met" some interesting people, at least in our minds.

I also use downtime to look at queue details and some queues have many. One queue that I don't like at all in Rock N Roller Coaster on the outside part. BORING!
