Starting next week, any guest who links their ticket to MDE can make FP+ reservations up to 30 days in advance similar to annual passholders. Offsite guests will no longer need to use kiosks as they'll have access to the mobile app just like Disney Resort Hotel guests. MagicBands are also available for offsite guests (hearing prices in between $12 and $15 but we'll see) but not required for FP+. Look for advance FP+ available for all starting on March 31.

Is this confirmed? It would be perfect since I just booked Easter week today. Please tell me it's true!

I'm an AP. They couldn't have announced this AFTER my 30 days in 15 days? Haha. Darnit

I know offsite guests are happy, but for everyone involved who is at the park and wants to make changes, this is just more bad news.

Or for APs. I guess I can't complain since I stay offsite and get a great deal on hopping throughout the year.

Weird that they didn't give APs even a tiny window. Say 60 days on site, APs 30, offsite 14

~I knew it and I said this from the beginning. I guess this blows all of the onsite only rumors out of the water! :cool1:

~Of course the one time that I finally plan to stay offsite, it's at a disadvantage . Yay for me! :(

~But, I'm really happy for everyone else. :goodvibes

What happens if you have an AP and are staying on site? Right now I have a 30 day window where I can book. When 60 days from my room only ressie comes will it open up to 60 days?

From the 'MyMagic+ for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders' page:
For the first time ever, Disney FastPass+ service enables you to reserve access to select attractions, shows, Character Greetings and parade and firework viewing areas. All theme park Guests—including Annual Passholders—can now make same-day, same-park FastPass+ selections at our in-park FastPass+ kiosks.

If you are an Annual Passholder, you are also invited to plan 7 days of FastPass+ selections within any 30-day period—for 1 park per day. Your 7 days don’t have to be consecutive and you can plan for an additional day as soon as one of your existing days has passed.

You can choose up to 3 FastPass+ experiences per day up to 30 days in advance of your visit—so you can relax and enjoy the moment with your family and friends, knowing that some of your must-do attractions and entertainment are all set.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in. Plus, you may hold FastPass+ selections for up to 7 days or the length of your hotel stay—whichever is greater!

True, but as someone staying onsite late next week, I am still glad for offsite guests. Now, they only the have the same hassles the rest of us do with FP+. I assume there will be some kind of new instructional flyer given out to guests as they arrive at the parks. I'm also glad that FP+ supporters who assure everyone that there's plenty of availability the night before will now have to face the effects of everyone prebooking. This was inevitable. Booking at kiosks and on CM i-pads was not a sustainable long-term system and it did not accomplish Disney's stated goal to lock in guests.

About time!! As an onsite only guest, I'm very glad to hear this. Nobody deserved to waste time in those kiosk lines for FP leftovers. To clarify, this is open to every single offsite guest right? Not only ones that have ADRs?

And hey, now WDW tent campers can breath easy again ;).

I'm glad to hear this. It should be fair for everyone. And I'm glad that off-siters won't have to deal with the FP+ kiosk lines we saw last week.

Here is why I wouldn't worry too much. I think those who strategically visit overestimate how many others want to. Second, some of those who will now take advantage of FP+ prebook of 3 (me) will be out of the way of those who hit it early and late, and hard in between.

In the end, I think those that want more FPs will get them - probably day-of after using their 3, or at some predetermined time, or by offer through MDE.

Yes, all offsite guests with tickets linked to MDE can schedule Fp+.

The only people excluded are the 50,000 WDW CMs and their guests! Not to mention ABC/ESPN employees etc...

Just a thought. If you're off site and already purchased tickets, who's to say when you're going to actually be at the parks?

I.E. I hope to go in April, book my FP+ then decide to go in September.

Who knows that I actually intend to go the days I prebook?

I'd call Disney first. Does 14 day window on MYW tix start when you link to MDE?

:confused3

No. The 14 days begins when the ticket is actually used to enter a park. If you have the WPF&M option, entering a water park, DisneyQuest or redeeming any of the other WPF&M options will start the clock also.
