Hey there, this will be our first time to FW and WD! Can't wait!!!
We ( our 4 kids and one aunt) are going to be staying in our hybrid camper so are there any bad loops. Do they just pick at spot for you or do you have some kind of choice?
Can't wait 39 more days!!!!:cool1:

I don't think there is a bad loop or campsite at the Fort. Everyone seems to have a location they fit in best. When we arrived the CM asked where we would like to be, I didn't have any idea so I left it to her. We ended up in the 1400 loop which was a quick walk to the pool and nightly campfire and movie.

Well folks have their favorite loops but even "bad" is a subjective term.

What type of loop have you reserved? Partial, Full, Preferred, or Premium?

In MDE you can do the early checkin now where you can note special requests such as:

- near a Comfort Station
- near a bus stop
- loop #xxxx

or things like that. As long as you get it all in about 5 days before arrival, the assigning CM will try to accommodate your request.

Once you tell us the type, maybe folks will tell you why they like THEIR favorite loop.

For me, my favorite Partial loop is 1500 (in back along water and easy walking to the Meadow area). My favorite Preferred loop is 100 (close to everything along the beach ). My favorite Premium is 900 (close to Pool, movie/campfire, and pool).

My favs:

Partial: 1500-close to pool
**Full hook up: 1800 (far from the bus sounds)
Preferred: 300 BIG loop
Premium: 500 (this loop is across from 300 loop)

1800 is my favorite loop. I feel the sites are bigger-not all but most. 80% of the time we camp at FTW and not go into the parks. :thumbsup2

Our least favorites are 1900 (sites have drop offs on most if not all sides of pad) and 1400 ( too close to activities area).

I have not found a bad loop yet, but my favorite is the 300 loop for Preferred sites, 500 for premium. Full hookup I was in the 1800 and that was a long hike to the dog park. I think if I had to do full hookup again I would request 1600 if they could handle the 5th wheel.

We are staying at site 1724 which is right across from a service road for the camp ground, very noisy & activity 24 hrs. a day, don't really mind since we are just relaxing most of our 18 days here but I can see where it would bother some people
