So is the corn knee high in your area?

I have never mooed at a cow, but I did quack at a duck once. The duck quacked back at me. Is that a good thing?

It's an excellent thing -- but I wonder what you said???? I hope it wasn't offensive...did he sound mad when he quacked back???

The duck was a little punchy but I figured he hadn't had his morning coffee yet.

And of you go inside the fence and do it, it's really freaky -- a little scary!! Cows aren't as gentle as they look sometimes!

DH and I had to "herd" a group of dairy cows into a barn long time ago. You definetly have to stay out of their way!!! Milking them is a whole 'nother story!!! :rotfl:

Our corn is...mind you I have "short knees" so it may not be that high at all! :rotfl:

Ever take a walk through a pasture and have them all decide to follow you?? It's not a calming thing! :scared1:

Oh. . . .This thread really DOES exist! (Heard about it on the "clique" thread, thought it was a myth. . . .) ;)

That's why I always try to stay on the OTHER side of the fence!!! :scared:

I thought this was the clique thread not the cow thread.... ;) As I recently read, "Eat more chicken."

Have you ever been moo'ed back by a cow? I have, the conversation we had was hilarious. Thankfully a bobwire fence seperated us. We did wake up a few times and have a few cows in our backyard.

Ever been cow tipping? It must be done at night....you push and run trying to avoid the cow patties...oh the memories of childhood.

Actually it started out as a corn thread but the cows have made this :offtopic: Bad cows!!!

Is this where the really cool corn people hang out?

Yes, why yes it is! At our next club meeting we should work on some really great inside jokes that will annoy everyone else. And we can have nicknames, like "the Kernel" and "Nubs" and "Pattie"!

I really have to go work now -- don't say anything intersting til I get back!

Do any of you remember the link that took us to a field where you could watch the corn grow!! That was hilarius.......BORING, but hilarius!! :lmao:

I should have known my fellow southern girl would know a thing or two about cow tipping. Of course I've only heard about it. :rolleyes1

I'd never seen corn until I moved here and this past weekend I went to a 4th of July cookout at a house that is just surrounded by corn. I kept thinking of the scary movies Children of Something or Another that lived out on the farm, lol.

OT now sort of: Bless my Granny's heart, she is from the country country and loves fresh picked salet. I would have to take Granny out in the back pasture area looking for this nasty stinking stuff and when we found it, I would hold open some of the barb wire and sort of push her through while she talked to the cows about this that and the other. She was like the pied piper of cows, she'd be walking around and just talking away and they followed her. she can't get around as well as she used to so she doesnt go back there anymore but insist that we still talk to the cattle. :sunny:

Man, this thread is so CORNY. I'll bet there isn't a KERNEL of truth to any of your posts.

(That's dancing corn, although it's a little hard to tell. ;) )

I said not to say anything interesting til I got back -- I'm really not back. I just for some reason want to talk about corn and not my work today.

If we get nicknames, can I be "The Kernel"?

I just remembered a funny thing a comic said about this -- if you moo at cows when you are driving past them, do you think the cows are saying to each other, "Hey, that cow is driving a car!!!"
:rotfl2: Who knows what they're thinking about me. And to answer your first question--my DH thought I'd lost it the first time I rolled down my window and mooed at the cows. He'd never seen anyone do that. :lmao:

Try stopping some time and talk to the cows. The whole herd will eventually come to you. It's a riot!! Not that I've ever done this because I do have a life!! :rolleyes1 :teeth:
Are you trying to get me locked away? :teeth: You know that I'm  enough to try this...

Yes, I do that, too. But I also kiss my cats, but not on their mouths.

Here I am, happily copy and pasting different post and suddenly my computer stops letting me copy and paste. :furious:

Crazee4Mickey, :rotfl: about your short knees!

S4S, What the hell is a bobwire fence??? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That really had me laughing!!! I think you are going to inspire a thread! :teeth:

I'm sorry for bringing up cows--wasn't trying to make the thread veer off course, much less hijack the thread. At least I didn't bring up melons. See, this is how I do it--I'm really not trying to start trouble! :rotfl2:

OK, Polly is gone--we can talk about her now! :teeth:
