So is the corn knee high in your area?

Knee high by the fourth of july! Ours is that and more!

The Jersey corn should be sweet in a couple of weeks. It was kinda yucky over the weekend. Not sure if it's knee high yet though, I'm not very observant.

You mean you haven't gotten out of your car and stood next to it to see if it came to your knees like we did yesterday???

We obviously didn't have enough to do for the 4th!!!

Too funny!! Everytime we pass a cornfield this time of the year, my husband says, "Knee high by the fourth of July" with some fake Southern twang. (He's from Connecticut.) He's obsessed with corn on the cob. I have to make it perfectly and he rates it. He has no life.

A couple weeks ago it sure didn't look like it was going to, but it is now. All the rain that we had last week helped. Not that I've literally stopped the car and gotten out and stood next to it, mind you. But I do roll down the windows and moo at the cows, so if I'm strange enough to do that, I'm strange enough to stand next to corn.

Yes it is. Feed corn is about 6 ft high now. We have local corn in too.

I just remembered a funny thing a comic said about this -- if you moo at cows when you are driving past them, do you think the cows are saying to each other, "Hey, that cow is driving a car!!!"

Most of the farmers around our old town got their corn in late and it was growing slow. I was thinking there was no way it was going to be knee high by the 4th. Well, it has been so hot around here that the corn is over 6 feet tall now.

The crops look gorgeous in eastern Iowa and everything is so green. God is good.

Try stopping some time and talk to the cows. The whole herd will eventually come to you. It's a riot!! Not that I've ever done this because I do have a life!!

And of you go inside the fence and do it, it's really freaky -- a little scary!! Cows aren't as gentle as they look sometimes!

No knee high corn in our area of western NH and Vermont.

Too much rain. It is a big deal in Vermont for the dairy farmers who rely on the corn for feeding their cattle.

I have never mooed at a cow, but I did quack at a duck once. The duck quacked back at me. Is that a good thing?
