So, Is MNSSHP really worth it?

Inquiring minds want to know... :thumbsup2

I will be attending my first MNSSHP this Oct. I specifically picked my travel dates yo be able to go to both F&W and MNSSHP.
I attended MVMCP for the first time last December and had a great time! Despite the fact that I had to leave the park at 9pm to take the incredible cranky kids and DH back to the hotel then return to the park for the rest of the action I STILL had a great time.
For my Oct trip I will be leaving the kids & hubby at home! :cutie:

Our group really enjoys MNSSHP. The little ones love dressing up, as do alot of grow ups. The trick or treating is fun for everyone. The parade and fireworks are some of the best that Disney puts on. We enjoy this event as much or more than MVMCP.

We did both MNSSHP and the Christmas Party and enjoyed the Halloween celebration more. In retrospect, the MVMCP was during one of our first trips, and before I did serious (obsessive?) planning . We had no idea what to expect, and sort of wandered around. I researched the Halloween Party much more, knew what we wanted to do, and as a result, we had a great time.

Whether or not it is worth the money is very subjective. If you love Disney, the theming and the details, and the chance to see different characters and great costumes, you will find it is worth the money. If you are looking for quality candy, low crowds, walk on attractions, you will be disappointed. JMHO.

In my opinion MNSSHP is the best of all the parties offered at the Magic Kingdom. I'd do it, but if they keep increasing the price, maybe not so much.

Of course; if a bunch of your computer nut friends are attending then it's well worth the price. :goodvibes

I loved MNSSHP. I was not allowed to celebrate Halloween as a child due to my parents' religion, so last Halloween was the first time I got to dress up for trick-or-treating. (Somehow it just didn't seem right to dress up as an adult when I took my daughter.) Saying "trick or treat" for the first time in my life at the MK was really special. Also, I dressed up as Esmeralda and got to clown around a little w/ Frollo during a photo op. It was a blast!

I think it is!

We don't really trick or treat here, and it was nice to try American candy. Plus the parade is fantastic, and the atmosphere is great! Next time I'd dress up properly!

Yes, we LOVE it! The parade & fireworks are awesome!!

But what *I* really want to know is:

I'm going to WDW with my parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins with ages ranging from 2-97. We only have 3 days, want to go to all the parks, and eat inside that giant castle thingy. What can we do that will keep us all entertained? Thanks.

:lmao: :rotfl:

I like the Halloween party more than the Christmas party. However, the pricing may push us to say no unless we go for my birthday.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes - it is worth it (IMHO). My DH likes it and he normally hates Halloween. We've been the last 3 years and love it.

I thought it was worth it. I liked it better than MVMCP too. Loved the parade and the fireworks and it was awesome to meet the Villians. Got pics with the Evil Queen, Hook, Malificent and the Queen of Hearts. Also loved the ghost outside of Haunted Mansion. Characters in costume! Too cute! We didn't trick or treat that much, I thought the lines were pretty long, but we did the treat trail from Toontown to Tomorrowland, that was fun. My only complaint was super long lines for Mickey and Minnie. I really wanted pics with them in their costumes, but the lines for them were ridiculous.

Agree with Mickey and Minnie - both seperate too and long waits for both - best thing about it though is that you queue in their house/garden so plenty little things to see.

I LOVED MNSSHP - great fun dressing up and the interaction with characters because of it is just amazing  me and dbf dressed up as Peter Pan and Tink so obviously meeting Tink/Captain Hook was fun - but even meeting Mickey , he ended up pretending to fly around like a fairy - which was just too funny and cute!!

Also the Not So Scary Halloween Party was out of this world! And i wouldn't really say im a 'parade' person - but i'd happily pay the price for the party just to watch the parade! (I think next time I might even watch it twice in the same night!)

the best of the hard ticket events. and if you are lucky enough to get a cool, slightly windy nite to add to the atmosphere?......:hmghost:........well.......it doesnt get much better than that! so, boo to you and have fun. :maleficen

That's why I asked it. :)

Thank goodness! That's what I thought, so I answered with a snarky response, but then everyone was taking it so seriously so I started to feel bad and didn't want to seem like I was just being mean. :flower3:

hands down my favorite event and we will do it again this year. It was an absolute blast and we stayed until they kicked us out of the park. We got a ton of candy, great parade and fireworks.

Have to agree that it is one of the best party's they put on. The parade is great the fireworks outstanding. We are not kids anymore and all ages can enjoy the night. We been their the past 3 years and will attend this year again. Last year watched the parade twice. Its fun to see all the different costumes and kids have'n a great time. And if you want candy their is never ending supplies for all. Just make sure you eat early or pick the right time to get some food. :dance3:pirate:pirate:pirate: Will be home in 21 days for a two week stay at OKW.

We've attended MNSSHP on several occasions and have always enjoyed it. As mentioned previously, the fireworks are awesome!!! :thumbsup2
