Maybe this isn't a good sign, I don't think the order went through, although it said I had a zero balance and that my AmEx picked up the charge (but I didn't get a confirmation number or anything...I'm sure it's a glitch and will go back and repurchase......tomorrow....)

But anyway, so the only delivery option was Will Call. So, does that mean I have to print out a confirmation (which I didn't get today, but I honestly don't think the order went through).....and then take that confirmation page to Guest Services? And, my trip isn't for another month......is that OK? And will my pass START the first day I actually enter a park or the day I get it at Guest Services? I really thought the Disney site would explain all this, but it didnt.:teacher::teacher:

If it weren't through you should at the minimum receive a confirmation email. You would also see it linked to your mde account if you purchased it through Disney.

If you have a smart phone then no need to print anything. Just bring your magic band attached to your account and ID. Also wouldn't hurt to bring the card you bought the AP with as well.

Your year won't start until you activate it in person.

Also if it did go through and you purchased it, you can make FP's 30 days out. So check there. You can make up to 7 days of fast passes if staying off site and you can so that prior to activating the pass at Disney

So, my MDE doesn't show any Annual Pass (I did try to purchase it through the Disney Website), and my AmEx hasn't shown the charge, so I will try to purchase again tomorrow.

Question #1. You asked if I purchased it through Disney. Is there ANY other way to purchase an AP? I didn't think so. Usually buy Magic YOur way tix through other online vendors but never saw the ability to purchase AP.

Question #2. So if I attempt to purchase it again tomorrow on the Disney website and it goes through, will it SHOW up in my "reservations"? And, I'm getting a magic band in the mail. So, what exactly do I take to the guest services window? My ID, the band, and my MDE #? That's what's confusing to me.

Question #3. So, if my AP gets "put" on my magic band.......what happens if I accidently loose the band?

Nothing is put on a MB.

AP is on your MDE account. MB is on your MDE. Scan the band and it contacts MDE which says "yep there's an AP".

Once you have purchased the AP it will show up in your MDE account under Tickets and Passes.

As for it being "on" your magicband, that's not really how it works. Everything, your tickets and passes, reservations, fast passes, etc. are tied to your MDE account. Your magicband is also linked to a person in your MDE account. The magicband is just a way of Disney systems accessing the info on the account. If you lose your magicband you can acquire another and link it to your account. Or use the physical card you'll be given when you activate the annual pass.

1: I've seen AP's offered but I've never purchased an AP outside of Disney

2a: yes it will show up in your mde once it's purchased. Click "my account", then scroll down and click "memberships and passes".

2b: Once you've bought it and you're heading to Disney. Stop either at Disney springs, this is a good option for people coming in in the afternoon and don't want to hit a park on arrival day..Or stop at one of the parks. You'll tell them you want to activate your AP and they'll likely only ask for your magic band and ID. They'll scan your MB, verify you match your ID, then it'll be activated. You can keep your AP confirmation number handy, an email or picture on your phone will do, but will likely not be needed. Also good to bring the card you purchased the AP with just incase anything arises, but likely they won't need that either. So definitely have your mb you'll be getting and your ID

3: like others have said, nothing is ON a magic band. Everything is within your mde account and the magic band just simply accesses that info. Like a key and lock. You can have 10+ magic bands (key) linked to your account, and they can all access your mde (lock). If you lose a magic band, you're only out the cost of that magic band. Someone that finds it has no use with it

Thanks everyone. Truth be told, I've been going to WDW almost every year for the last 25 years, but things just always change, and I have to admit I don't pay much attention (well, I do to prices, etc. LOL). I appreciate the help!:thanks:
