So, I'm a Titans Fan, now.

Mine say's most Eagle fans will forget about what he's done as soon as he scores his first touchdown.. I really hope he's wrong :sad2:

That's what my husband (huge Eagles fan) said, in not so many words, the day MV was signed. :sad2:

I think it's great that you did this. I just know that my DH will forget all about the bad stuff it the Eagles have a good season.

Beleive me when I tell you, many of them have already forgotten. For most real football fans, the initial outrage wasn't really about Michael Vick and what he did. It was more about the Eagles signing a 4th quarterback that they don't need, along with the perception that the signing was based more on Andy Reid's personal life than a true football decision based on team needs.

If Michael Vick does anything at all to help them get to the Super Bowl, all bets are off. The fans will be calling for McNabb's head. After all, in sports, it is all about what have you done for me lately?

Go Titans! :cheer2:

Wow, congrats. I didn't expect it to go so high - that's great! The Titans are "my" team - but I didn't have anything to do with them gaining you as a fan, unless one of my Twitter followers is responsible.

Good for you and welcome aboard!! :cheer2:

Someone may argue this but I think we have the best coach in the NFL :thumbsup2

I personally think they should've tied steaks to Vick and locked him in a cage with the dogs ;)

Not looking to get any "points", so I'll leave it at that. Those that know what I mean, and supported my efforts - Thanks a whole lot!

:)

I have lost ALL respect for you. Titans stink. Boooooooooooo! ;) :rolleyes1

Go Jaguars! :thumbsup2 :cheer2:

I agree with you. . .on both counts!

I know this isnt a pit debate - but frankly odds are nothing would happen. Fighting dogs aren't taught to be human aggressive, as those people have to be 'in the pit' with the dogs.

I think he should be locked in a room with pit OWNERS. ;) :thumbsup2

This whole thing saddens me.... My son was a huge Vick fan before this all happened, and while jaded, even he - who loves our dog - loves him, loves him, loves him - is looking forward to seeing Vick play. I couldn't be more disappointed in him about it. :guilty: :guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

Oh, ITA, I was just trying to make a point. I worked as a vet assistant for 5 years and NEVER saw an aggressive pit bull, ever.. don't get me started on Chihuahuas though

A Titan's fan?!

What? You are turning your back on Zeus, Neptune, Apollo, Athena and the rest of the Olympic Gods in favor of the Titans? Are you not aware that to this day one Titan, Atlas, struggles under his crushing load of holding up the sky? Are you not aware that Kronos, the King of the Titans (and the father of Zeus) is even now in the deepest part of the Underworld, his body having been cut up into tiny pieces by Zeus during the mightly War of the Titans?

You are now a fan of the Titans? Ha! Read the Percy Jackson books and you would not so easily change sides!

I stay with the Olympian Gods!

No kidding! Mine put a pit in his place the other day!!!

however the thread at hand.....
Great what you did, had I known earlier you would have stayed in PA with STEELERS all the way!!!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

Those Titans sure are lucky to gain a loyal fan. Eagles were already missing you last nite too, it showed.

Loyal fan? He sold out to the highest bidder.

I'll tell you what a loyal fan is. A loyal fan goes back to the Grogan days, back when you were embarrassed to say who you routed for because of the ribbing you would take but would still tell the truth. A fan that ranted and raved when the uniform and logo changed. A fan that endured dirty laundry and dirty accusations. That's what a loyal fan does. They stick to their players through thick and thin.

Is it fair to all the other Eagles players that fans are selling out because of decisions that upper management made? And if I'm not mistaken the Eagles still have the option of letting him go as cuts are made. If they cut him will these fans go back and now abandoned their "new" teams? What happens then?

Was their a contingency clause in this agreement? ;)

Most sponsors either sponsor the entire NFL (Coors, Pepsi) or they are local companies who sponsor the team because of their location (local car companies).

The only reason I could see to start boycotting Pepsi (aside from it's nasty taste) would be if they gave Vick an endorsement deal. And I don't think anyone's likely to do that right now.

I feel for the Eagles fans who are going through this. And I think the Eagles fans who are okay with it should be allowed to have their opinion as well.

Excellent points.

And yes, I believe there is a contigency clause in the agreement.

oh I understand that the sponsorships vary and are wide, but gee, where draw the line? it's ok to give up your team since they signed Vick, but not the NFL franchise even though you can personalize your dog jersey with VICK, or the stores selling the new jersey, or that even though they may sponsor all NFL teams...they (said sponsors) don't have the hangers to pull out from the Eagles, basically saying Vick served his time, it's over, move on.....it's great to "pick" and choose, but really, the said statement becomes meaningless unless you are in it all the way don't you think?

so all OP really did was band wagon some where else...still supporting the franchise that supports what he supposedly was against in his "auction", and not to mention.....the restart.....

We're always glad to have another Titan's fan. We were all sad to hear about former Titan Steve McNair getting killed on July 4th. I didn't know if that made the news in other cities or not.

No, I don't think. Obviously. It may be meaningless for you, which is why you handle the situation the way you see fit. You (general you) draw the line where you think it's appropriate to draw the line and let everyone do the same. It's not up to everyone else to dictate how someone else should feel. I knew nothing about this particular "new team" project until this thread started, but I know plenty of people (myself included) who feel that the league allowing Vick to play is an entirely different thing from a particular team signing him. I also know plenty of people who don't feel that way. And I know some who don't care either way. None of us are wrong and all of us should proceed the way we think is best.

It absolutely did. I was heartbroken.
