So, if we don't stay onsite, can we...

Can we see everything in 2 days? We'll be going in the fall - after Labor Day. I understand the hours will be shorter. And if we don't stay at a Universal Hotel, we won't have Express Pass or early entry. So can we see everything in 2 days (one day for US and one day for IOA)?

The budget vacation planner in me is lot able to commit to staying at a Universal hotel. LOL

I'd think so about US but IoA takes at least 2 sometimes 3 days (crowd level dependent) to do/see everything.

On weekdays in September crowds will generally be low and I would think you won't need Express Pass. In early December of 2011 (another slow time) lines were generally very short and Forbidden Journey wasn't too long, especially at the very end of the day.

I think you'll be just fine to see everything in two days in September.

I think you'll be fine. I went in early October last year. I stayed three days. I probably could have done everything in two if (a) I actually showed up before 10:00 a.m. and (b) I didn't insist on riding Forbidden Journey at least five times per day. ;)

I had early entry, but after seeing the lines I decided that hanging out in CityWalk late and then sleeping in would be okay on the days I was there. :thumbsup2

days after labor day mean low crowds in the park.

2 days for the parks would be fine.

You'll be fine. We stayed off site and went during the Christmas holidays when crowds are their worse and we easily saw everything. In fact we rode many of the biggest thrill rides several times.

No problem if you ask me. In fact (this was our first visit) I was happy that we only chose 2 days, because 3 days would have gotten redundant.

Have fun and enjoy :thumbsup2

Thank you all!

I think we may just stay off site. At first we really wanted to stay at the US hotels - being that this will be our only trip without the kids EVER (at least while they are all still home with us). But I just can't see paying $250-300/night when I can get a condo for $75/night!

Maybe we'll find a better rate as we get closer to the trip, but if we can see most things without early entry and EP, then I'll be happy./

It's important for me to see WWHP - not as important to get on everything else. :)

you said you were going after Labor Day.

the rates for the onsite hotels will not be $250-300 a night as you posted above.

that is value season and rates are lower.

they won't be the $75 a night at the condo you talk about, but will be reasonable for the family.
