Do you also get the dining plan??

I think it would be way too much food altogether. We did the dining plan with concierge last year and had too much food all the time. We didn't eat about 12 of our CS and almost all of our snack credits went unused also. We did cash out on the last day for snacks to bring home for all of it but ate so much at concierge that we didn't need much more. Add that to being able to have breakfast in your room and taking some cold snacks to your room from concierge for eating later and you have enough meals for the day.

We did use all our TS meals and those alone made it worth paying for the plan but I'm not sure if I would do concierge and the plan again.

omg, no. Of course, this depends on personal eating habits, etc. When we stayed concierge, we didn't need much else at all. I think we had a couple of nice TS meals (maybe 3 in a one-week stay) and that was perfect. Our kids are young and not big eaters....neither am I. DH is a HUGE eater and even he didn't need much in addition to the concierge service. Our usual plan is to have our big meal at lunch and eat light dinners anyway, so that is why concierge alone works so well for us.

omg, that's WAY too much food! When we stayed concierge, my kids camped in the lounge so they got lots of food and drinkpopcorn:: and were never hungry for dinner! so, this time, we decided that it had to be DDP or concierge, but not both. We are on the waitlist for concierge, so if we get it, the DDP will be dropped. Frankly, the DDP is too much food for most people, even without concierge!

I use conceirge for breakfast and snack there is not enough to live on lol

I maybe the exception. I like that fact that i can get snacks and drinks both adult and soft drinks

We used this feature at AKL and Disney Grand Cal I think with the dinning plan you get the best of disney

You eat breakfast go to a part have a counter service for lunch had a great supper then poof have a nite cap in the lounge

Just me

We have reservations for a studio at AKV between Christmas and New Year's and we are planning to purchase the dining plan. First of all, I eat a low carb diet and from all accounts the breakfast is a standard carb-o-licious Executive/Concierge floor type thing. Secondly, I cannot guarantee that we will be around for the Kisikusiku (Twighlight Offerings) between 5-7pm for appetizers. We usually head back out to the parks right about then. Lastly, the value of a table service for 2 adults and 1 child per day is only about $10-15 less than the cost of the program. Even if we ate breakfast at the lounge and then one TS meal and one CS meal, we would still spend more on food out of pocket. Now that I think about it, I might go ahead and change some of my dinner TS's to lunch TS's so I can enjoy the evening appetizers more often.

ETA: Here is some info on the AKV Lounge from back in 2004:

You would not automatically get the DDP, you'd have to request it ahead of time. Given what others have posted here, you probably won't need it.
