Hiya,

Currently we are planning our Disney honeymoon (11/16 through 11/28) and of course, with seeing the info on these boards re the rumoured GP discount code coming out in the next few days I figure I might as well wait to book our hotel.

However, we are going to be doing DDP (got it free last year and are now hooked!) and I've been reading up on the changes to it etc on the board...

Now, I may have misinterpreted but one thing that was said was that you can't use discounts against bookings with DDP. Is that right? Or did I read it wrong? Cos' obviously if you cannot then there is no reason for us to wait and I might as well book today

Disney may offer a package discount (usually the same as the room only discount) to the general public. Then you can add the DDP and still get a discount on your package.

The DDP can not be added to an AP or Florida Resident discount or a military discount (shades of green) or a cast member discount.

We booked and paid for our package back in December of last year for our November trip this year. Several people here assured me that if they release a GP code, I could add it to my current reservation either for a refund or apply it toward an upgrade. Not sure if it's an option you want to take, but you could always make your reservations now and hope for a code later.

Yes, I have heard and been advised of that too. However, since I'm in England the less calls I have to make the better lol so I'm planning on waiting.

Good luck with your code adding too Lets hope they release one for us all soon!
