On Tuesday of this week, I went in for a three month check with my oncologist. I was feeling great, since on May 27th it was one year in remission for me (note my cool tag that it got me!). Doc comes in the room, says he has reviewed my PET scan that I had the week previous. There is a suspicious spot in my neck/throat area, and I need to go see an ENT to discuss things further.
Cue the freak out from me. Nothing has felt wrong on me in such a long time. I am sure my jaw just dropped when he said that.
I went and saw the ENT yesterday. He did the oh-so-fun scope through the nose to the throat (add insult to injury, I had a bout with the stomach flu yesterday as well, so I did not react well AT ALL to the scope!). He said the tonsils look fine, but my adnoids are very enlarged, so to be on the safe side, he wants to remove them and biopsy them to make sure the cancer has not returned.
So my surgery should be scheduled for sometime last week, and then we will go from there. Hopefully it turns out to be nothing, because DH will be on a 60 day deployment starting the middle of June. If anyone has good thoughts they could spare, I would appreciate it.

Lots of good thoughts on the way!
