You're SOL...go buy a replacement:rotfl:

I remember when Marge did that to Homer's shirt...didn't go so well for him at work the next day.

You could try the oxiclean.

The most important question is, did you dry it? If it's been in the dryer, then it's more than likely set.

No, I didn't dry it. I soaked it in color safe bleach for a while and some of the die came out but its still pretty pink.

Did you purchase it at Kohl's? I'm assuming recently, as it wouldn't have happened after the first wash. You could try explaining it to a manager. The sweater should've been colorfast to prevent bleeding onto the white shirt.

I took my bf back to JcPenney's because their store brand pants got a rip in the crotch within 5-6 months of use. It wasn't even along the seam either. The store was able to look up the purchase because he has a store CC, and did a return with no problems. Then he ordered a new pair of Haggar pants, which are a million times better quality.

The more you try to pull the pink out, the more you'll fade the red. It's a cute top, just not well executed by the maker. You shouldn't have to live with spending money on something you weren't able to get full use out of. Isn't Kohl's like one of the top stores for easy returns?

I never thought about returning it... Its worth a try I guess! I DID follow the directions on the label for washing... but it obviously didn't work.

Whenever I have something I think might "run", I add salt to the washer. Not sure why but it seems to work for me :thumbsup2

I wouldn't feel bad about it. Hopefully enough other people make a complaint too, and they remove it to get credit back from the vendor (if it's not their own brand).

There's also no reviews on the website for it. I'd suggest putting up a review of your experience after you see about exchanging the item. I wouldn't write a horrible review, but just say that the color did bleed, and to take extra steps to prevent the red from bleeding. Like those shout color catchers, salt, vinegar, oxiclean, or whatever else that might help. It's nice to give other's a heads up experience.

Shout makes a thing called Color Catcher sheets (or something like that). You put it into the washer with your stuff and it's supposed to "catch" the excess color from dark clothes so that it doesn't bleed onto lighter clothes. I've had good luck with it, so it might be worth a try.

And, as a PP said, don't put it in the dryer because the color will definitely set from the heat.
