Yes and it is ALL MY FAULT. I met with a guide on Sunday while at WDW. Flew home Tuesday. Bought a resale contract and then decided I want one OKW 2057 extended minimum purchase Direct from Disney.
I have 300 & 50 OKW bought in 1994.
Just signed up for a new SS resale
I want one extension bought Direct with my current DH. (and how many points is that exactly now - YIKES, I didn't ask because that wasn't on my mind when I met with the guide - so out of touch with all of this as I NEVER expected to add on but now I am a Nonna and there are two children...
I could also sell my OKW 50 point for some decent $$
What to do...
Anyway, I'd appreciate any assistance with my questions.
Thank you!

You're already grandfathered in with your 1994 points so a direct purchase isn't necessary for benefits. Even if you a haven't added your current DH to your contract he still qualifies for an AP since you live in the same household and are family. Or is there some other reason you were looking to add on direct? It just sounded like it was for benefits since you were asking about the minimum amount.

I wanted him to have a blue card. My ex DH is still onthe contract. I am going through the title change now - FINALLY - the divorce was in 1998!..Not sure he will sign if I add my current DH to the contract so I will have to re-title everything again to add my current DH.

I was also hedging bets that maybe Disney will be 'kinder' to those with 2042 and 2057 OKW direct contracts when 2042 comes around.

It now takes 125 points direct points to qualify for the blue card. Your new purchase would also be a new separate membership because the ownership would be different but it could still be linked to be visible on your current login. OKW direct price is about as reasonable as it gets but for 125 points * $165 plus closing you're in the $21K price range for your husband to have his own card via a direct add on. As I mentioned he already qualifies for benefits via your ownership although he does need you there to receive them. You could do the transfer of your current contracts and then again after that's done to add your husband for much much less. Of course you wouldn't have benefits past 2042 but who even knows what DVC will look like by then. I'd be very surprised that owning extended OKW will mean any difference to your 2042. If they offer another possibility to extend it will go out to all who have the 2042.

Missing that March 31 deadline is tough. I don't think I'd do what you are considering but because of missing the 2020 points I'd at least take some more time to consider it.

Good luck on the decision!

I might be able to get a really good 2057 resale...
