After reading about the various ways of keeping Disney materials in order on the forums and being the OC of organization person that I am. I decided to put together a binder today.
Though I can't show you any pictures of it as I am not that computer savvy - yet. I am learning alot from you all so maybe one day.
Anyway thought you might like to hear how I put mine together. I hope it helps.
I purchased a 1 1/2 inch white view binder. After making my cover sheet and binding cover with Disney clip art, I placed an inside front page, table of contents, zipper pouch and 12 poly folders inside.
In the zipper pouch I have a note pad, post its, LGMH's, Disney pen and Disney stickers. You can also put in planning DVD's, stamps, luggage tags, etc.
My folders are seperated and hold materials as follows:
Itinerary: Spreadsheet, Daily Itineraries[/B]
Calendar: Monthly Calendar pages with To Do, Purchase, Call and Prioject lists
Invoices & Receipts
Plannning: Budget Worksheet, Packing List, Addresses for Post Cards, Important Phone Numbers
Directions: Driving Directions, Maps
Resort Information: Resort info, Maps, Fun Things To Do, Photos of Resort
Park Information: Info on each park, Maps, Hours, EMH Schedule, Parade & Fireworks Schedule, Crowd Calender, Park Touring Itineraries, Water Park info
Dining: Meal Chart, ADR List, Dining Plan Brochure, Resteraunt Menus
Special Shows or Events: Cirgue de Soeil, Luau, Hoop de Doo, Grand Gatherings, etc
Photo pass: Basic info, Tips, Pre purchased CD certificate
Fun Stuff: What to do with all those Mickey Heads, Resort Room decor ideas, Matching T-shirts ideas, Autograph book ideas, Scrapbook ideas, etc
Tips & Advice: of course only coming from the #1 Disney site on the planet - DISBOARDS
Everything fits in perfectly with room to spare.
The front cover reads Planning a Disney Vacation: It's a tough job but someone has to do it with two clip arts. One of Minnie making a list and one of Minnie at computer. Both found on the net under Disney Clipart. I got the front cover quote from somewhere on the dis in the creatrive forum.
The inside front page is a clipart of the whole gang:Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Daisy with the heading:
Disney World Vacation: January 4-10, 2009
I now have everything organized and contained so am prepared to move along with the planning.
I thank everyone who has given me advice thus far. This is a wonderful place. I think I am becoming hooked.
See you around the boards.

we have a few weekend trips camping planned, so I've put the disney planning on hold.
I have some time to organize it. I am not that organized, my cover sheet is a hand written paper that says "Disney planning notebook" I know it's original. I guess after reading all the tips from here I better get in gear and get my notebook under control.
Now for all of you who are computer masters out there you are probably rolling on the floor right now.
As for me, DD loves to remind me every so often that I must have grown up in the stone age where computers never exisited as I am learning everything from scratch - literally. But who says you can't teach a grandma (I'm only 49) a new treat or two?
