Does anyone of you have any experiences how much United Airlines charges for overweight luggage. Or better we take an empty suitcase

United was going to charge me 50 USD for a bag that was 3 pounds over weight (34 EUR for 1.3 kg). After my initial reaction scared1: ) and that "are you serious" question, I stepped out of line and repacked my jackets into a different bag which was nearly empty. So the bag went from 53 to 48. No problems!

Those flying out of London get 70 pounds (32 kg) and for the life of me I can't figure out why. Are British knickers somehow heavier?

Ok I changed my plan. Please keep the sun up in the sky for us, then we will only need our aussiebum bathing shorts, a few t-shirts and the rest of the suitcase stays empty

Anyways I am absolutely confused what to pack. We're having about 30 Fahrenheit and lots of snow for the last weeks and can't even imagine to leave the house without gloves and a scarf. BRRRRRRRRR!
