Has anyone ever had this happen? I got an email on 4/30 from disney destinations to my email address w/ a pin code for the buy 5 days get 2 days free. You can imagine my excitement because out of the 9 trips I've taken since 2003 I have never received a pin code. So I call last night to see if it is a better deal then the 40% off pin that my neice has already booked our trip with. The first person I called told me that the pin# I gave her didn't belong to me, it belonged to someone named Stacy_______. I explained that it was sent to my email address and that also at the bottom it had my email address listed. Well needless to say she was extremely rude, did all but call me a liar and implied that someone I knew must have forwarded me the email and I was trying to use it illegally!!! So I said thank you, hung up and called a different disney # and got a really nice cm. He preceded to tell me the same thing that cm#1 did. However, he believed me and gave me a quote with the pin # I gave him and put my reservation on hold. He said to print out the email and take it with me in case I needed it at check in. He also said he never heard of this happening before. Just curious if anyone ever ran into this before. I haven't crunched the numbers yet but if it is a better deal I would think since the reservation is already booked and I have a copy of the email with me I shouldn't have any problems.

I have gotten a couple of email pin codes not for me. They are to my email address, but not a name I even recognize. Usually it will say "To: <Unknown Name> myemail@email.com". One time the "name" was just a jumble of letters, not even a name!

So yes, it does happen.

Had it happen twice. I booked a girls trip with an old college friend and after that they began sending pin offers to her to my husband's email address! It's like they deleted him from their system and substituted Heidi's name. His AP renewl notice also came to our home address addressed to Heidi. She doesn't even have an AP. We tried taking advantage of the 2 pin offers but they wouldn't let me or my TA apply them. We were told they were only available to the person they were addressed to. Very, very frustrating!

I feel your pain. I've never gotten an email pin #, but I have gotten 3 postcards addressed with my address, but in the name of people I have traveled with in the past. Talk about frustrating.:confused3 One of the postcards was in my MIL's name and she has never stayed with us on site before.

Had the SAME thing happen to me! Received a pin code email, called for a quote and was put on hold forever, finally cm came back and asked if I had received this email from someone else and was trying to use it. Stated the email was my email address, but not my name. I didn't book, I was too upset. Yes I could have sent an copy to a fax number, but it really wasn't worth the effort. If it would have been a better deal maybe. :confused3 I can't figure it out either!

I haven't had this happen to me, but I have had problems with the wrong address linked to my phone number. I would make a reservation and never get the confirmation. Turns out it was going to someone in by the same name to a Florida address.

Another time we went to WDW with a friend and she booked us a room with her AP rate. That was 4 years ago....she still gets Disney Credit Card and promos sent to her house in our name.

We are now AP holders and have never gotten the AP rewenal notice. You would think with all the businees they do, they would have a much better database for all the information!

I got my first pin code at my mother's address. I booked her vacation for her and tied it to mine. After many years, she said that Disney sent me something to her house and it was a pin card. I called and asked if I could use it and was told yes. I also had one sent to my address with a cousin's name, yes I book WDW vacations for everyone and anyone, and was told I could use that one too.

If you got one in an email, call on it and see if you can use it - my thoughts are you will probably get the deal.
