for the dates we want, to buy direct with disney.com is $287 usd with tax. is there a cheaper way to go......we are canadian, not that that should matter but it might with these auctions i have seen.

our dates are april 19 and 20. we are staying longer but at a timeshare.

Is the $287 in USA dollars? If so, that must be rack rate during high season. Ouch!

That sounds like rack rate, peak season in a perferred room. You can eliminate the perferred room to save you $22. We too need a room during the end of peak season (4/22) and anticipate Easter week being blacked-out and know that a regular room at Pop Century is $119 a night. All the OP can do is watch for the possibility of discounts, but considering that the OP is going during Easter week, the chances are slim.
