so, the hurricane should be here tomorrow, should be very entertaining. dh is taking my car (wouldn't want the z4 convertable to have to drive through any high water ) dd already doesn't have school tomorrow (and I will go out on a limb here and guess she won't have school on friday either...) Glad I went to michael's today to use my coupons! I also went to the scrapbook store and bought the paper I need to finish random swap I'm in.... think I'll actually get any scrapping done? all the deck stuff is in the garage, filling the bathtubs with water tomorrow am, have water, batteries, game boy is charging as we speak as is my cell phone... found the halloween flashlights I bought at 90% off a few years ago (thanks target)... have plenty of junk food for when the power goes out... bring it on! maggie

We have done all we can ( batteries, cars moved , cell phones charged , snack food and water ), so tommorrow will be a great time to get some pages done , especially if I can't check in here. My mom who is an hour away is going to a shelter , and my sister who is two hours away will probably be ok. Kids are all home , so now its a waiting game.

Everyone stay safe. I can't even imagine what it would be like. In PA we expect lots of rain and high winds. Flooding in some areas because our ground is so soaked.
DH works for the State of Delaware and he has off today and tomorrow!
Just put DD on the bus..hope they can get home safely later

As of last night we finished the last of the outside preparations. We have about 15-20 gallons of gas for the generator. This morning I finished the last load of laundry & ran the vacuum cleaner in anticipation of losing power for a few days (like in 199 during Hurricane Floyd). I went with a friend to the grocery store this morning just to get out of the house for an hour or so. We are having lunch & praying for the best, but are prepared for worse. Now I'm online just for something to do . My thoughts & prayers for all of us...
